wine for wedding needed!!!!!!

hi,

can anyone give me an idea where i would get wine in bulk at a good price for our wedding??
Getting deal from hotel if we get our own wine so any help you can give me would be great

Hi hengaa

I was very choosy when it came to the wine at my wedding as it wasn't a hotel type wedding I was responsible personally for every aspect of the wedding and I certainly didn't want anything below par- well, within reason.
I was absolutely thrilled with my wine that i ordered. I had been to a colleagues 50th a few months before which he had supplied the wine for and everyone raved about it. So I got his number and he did me a great deal! I didn't have to pay corkage as we were in a private venue so it turned out very very reasonable! I can give you his mobile if you want to pm me.

Best of luck- don't panic too much- it's all about you guys and try not to get too carried away! You're going to have so much fun!

Have to say we used Cases wines in Galway. They were so good from start to finish and delievered the wine to the hotel a few days before the wedding. They were very good and matched the wine to our dinner. HTH

galway would be handy.....how much expense are we talking??
im not a wine drinker so am useless at this.
a girl i know said azda was great for deals so that where i was thinking but havent done anything about it yet.
hotel would have been €1700 for the wine, corkage is free. we will be having around 300 people at it. any idea on best wine and how much would it cost.

no not really. was on azdas website, some good deals....bottle from €3/4 each. cases in galway emailed me, the cheapest bottle is €6 from them so I am unsure what to do yet. I have loads of time but would like to know where we are getting it and go from there. I dont know which wine is nice or not so might have to call in some recruits to tell me!! im sure they will enjoy the sampling!!

There was an article about wedding wines in the Times Magazine on Saturday. It suggested a couple of bottles and priced them in different stores, also mentioned travelling to France.

Hi Hengaa,
I think we paid about €700 for al the wine we got at Cases in Galway That was for a pinot grigo and a cabernet savignon that the guys helped us to match to the meal, cant remember how many bottles that was for in total but it was beautiful wine
