So! 2nd Food Tasting/Deciding Appt done with the hotel - demented I am from the flipping decisions! they're telling me think of what i'd like to eat and I'm like what?! i'll be picking at whatever on the day, I want our guests to enjoy what we decide on! anyway *breath i know* :duh: - here is what we have decided upon - candid thoughts ? wedding in 5 weeks......thank you ladies;

Chicken & Mushroom Feuillette with chive oil [i.e. fancy word for vol-au-vent]
Or
Rosette of Smoked Salmon with shrimp & maire-rose sauce, baby gem lettuce.

Seasonal vegetable soup finished with cream

Baked Fillet of Sea Bass, hollandaise sauce with a ragout of potatoes, smoked bacon, pearl onions, tomatoes & thyme.
Or
Chargrilled Fillet Steak with sauteed mushrooms & onions , rustic potatoes & green peppercorn sauce
Or
Vegetarian Option
Served with market Vegetables & Potatoes

Retro Dessert Selection [i.e. an assiette of desserts, they are all delicious]

Looks lovely, i would eat everything on that menu. The only thing i would say is that you have fish on the main course so i prob wouldn't have fish on the starter aswell. Looks great though.

Thanks Girls :-) appreciate the sanity check!
I know what you mean 'Barrysb' - I was going to go with Fishcake, but thought 2 hot starters; heavy, & then I was going to go with Chx Caesar Salad and thought nope, not 2 chicken dishes and not everyone likes caesar dressing if we left out the chicken, replaced with bacon. & i personally [just our opinion] find melon drab. so went back to the choices i have now. I was going to go with Cod as a main course instead of seabass until I read oh like 28 menus yesterday and didn't spot cod once, so said okay seabass!

Sounds Delish! I'm not a fan of fish but I don't have to worry about it as I could have the vol-au-vent and steak - Happy out!

Same as myself Pinheels - dont like fish at all - but not choosing for me'self! lol. I asked them to pass me out a chicken caesar salad for my mains - i know i'll be too nervous/giddy to eat! :o)ll
