Girls - I think you are absolutely right - it really is only for optics!! What about getting a M & S cake and putting something like Choc Curls around it and decorate with flowers?? Would this work? I've seen the white fruit cakes in M&S but not the chocolate - can anyone tell me what M&S they are in?

my mam only ever takes a slice of wedding cake to dream on!!
Ever since I was a kid every wedding we go to my mam gets her slice, pops it in her handbag then puts it under her pillow, supposedly you dream of the man you are going to marry if you are single and do this?
Tad weird but I swear it works.

Anyway I think if there are loads of people like my mam out there I will definitley not spend top dollar on something that's goign to end up under a pillow :)

I was at the wedding fair in the RDS and tasted Boston Bakerys TOFFEE cake... oh my, it was fab!!!

My mil is making ours :? but otherwise I wouldve gone for his.
(he is based in Drumcondra)
