Girls go to Marks and Spencer! Im getting a chocolate cake there, ok not as yummy looking at the ones in teh piccies but H2B was having heart failure over the prices, our cake is 78eur from M&S, 3 tier chocolate sponge comes iced with just a bit of piping but the florist will put flowers around it, the cake is only for a photo and u can spend the extra dosh on something that will last longer!

I was also thinking about M&S springbride i wasnt impressed with the fruit cake but maybe the chocolate one.Im like you i wouldnt dream of spending top dollar on a cake.The guests already get a dessert anyway...

Our local baker makes them and quoted us 380 for a three tier round fruit cake,iced etc....
Which i didnt think was bad,considering the prices i seen :shock: :shock:

The fruit feels like its made of concrete alright. Only snag is the chocolate takes 2 wks to order which is fine but Im slightly paranoid in case it doesnt show up on time! Thats an excellent price from your baker, by far the cheapest Ive heard of, I was getting quotes in and around 400-500. Once a baker hears 'wedding' ur done for!
