Mothers Day Dinner

Help! think I have been roped in for cooking dinner for both sets of parents on Sunday. I never really cook for mroe than two, can anybody help me with a nice menu??

What about chicken Vol e Vents?? My MIL2B loves mine and very easy to make. Just buy the frozen Vol e Vents in Medium or large. Roast a medium - Large chicken, Chop and lightly fry some mushrooms, and then get large tins of either Campbells Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken, or my favourite the two mixed together!! And throw the whole lot into a pot. The great thing is that you can make it up in the morning and when everyone's ready to eat just heat up the soup with the chicken and mushrooms and then dish it all up. And the Daddies get their veg...
You can have anything for starters then, deep fried cambert with cranberry sauce? And something yummy for dessert, I love the new ozzing chocolate puddings from M&S, or if you want to go homemade, I've the best receipe in the world for banoffi, and just like the vol e vents its a throw it all together one! Let me know if ya want it.

have a look on www.nigella.com for some idea. or check out feast by nigella lawson - i am a huge fan of this.


i would go with a salad starter
the slow cooked lemon/garlic chicken, st tropez chicken, or vodka marinated steak are fab,
for dessert try one of the chocolate cakes
personal favorites are chocolate guinness cake or malteser cake
or try and white chocolate or chocolate and lime cheese cake yum
