The day started in my parents house where my dad cooked me & my sister a lovely sausage brekkie. My other 2 bridesmaids arrived around 10, just as Alyson Smyth (make up) & Sian Sharkey (hair) arrived. The hair & make up looked amazing. The 3 bridesmaids didn't really have an idea of what they wanted so Alyson & Sian got to be creative and it worked they looked amazing.
We hired the car from Connolly Chauffeurs (we went for the ivory & black Daimler). They arrived really early, I was still in my pjs. He took the bridesmaids to the church at 1.20 and I made it down to the church only 10 mins late, which was pretty good going!
Ceremony was in Blackrock Church which was absolutely beautifully decorated by the crew in Dundrum Blooms. We had the Lassus Scholars as our choir (a lovely wedding gift!) they were phenomenal! People are still saying how good the music was.
To be honest the ceremony is a slight blur, I remember hearing the organ starting in with Gabriel's Oboe, and then my dad made a joke about dancing down the aisle and that's all I remember of my entrance music! The whole ceremony was really beautiful.
Next we heading down to Barberstown where we were met by Paddy the night manager and Mick Jackson our piper for the day! He was lovely, he piped as the guests were arriveing, and he piped us into the banquet hall too which was great. We has our pics taken in the Castle grounds as it's so beautiful and luckily there was still a bit of light in the evening that we were able to do the pics outside. Our photographer was a family friend, MFL Photography, she was brilliant, such a ball of energy and since she was also a wedding guest she kept taking pictures into the night!
The whole reception went amazingly, all the staff in barberstown are fantastic, from all the prep work with Eimear & Gretchen to all the staff there on the night, food was delicious, everything just went really well.
We decided not to get a band and went with Ruairi Irish Wedding DJ for the night, he was great, the dance floor was never emptythere was even a girls v boys dance off at one point.
Overall....best day EVER!! I loved every minute of it

feel free to ask any questions if I've forgotten anything! Which I probably have
