I've just started acu, had 4th session this evening & are TTC for 12 months so fingers crossed.......

We were TTC'ing for 1.5 yrs when i started doing acupuncture. Did my 1st session in Oct 2010, it defo shortened my cycles from 40-45 days to 30-35 days which was our big problem, got pregnant Feb 2011 and DS is 21 wks old now :o)ll

Definately think the acupuncture was a great help and would do it again if i was TTC'ing for a few months and nothing was happening.

I came off the pill in October and started acupuncture in December to try and regulate my cycle and just got my BFP last week. So I had about four months of acupuncture - probably seven sessions. It's not cheap but I really think it helped me get my BFP.

i ticked 2-3 months but i only had 3 sessions of acupuncture. one on the first cycle and 2 on the second cycle. id say it was only about 4 or 5 weeks after the first session that i got the BFP. it shortened my cycle straight away and also my periods the one i did get was a bit heavier which for me was a good thing because they were so so light and my acupuncture guy thought maybe that they were too light.

Well I had 2 miscarriages & I started acupuncture in feb 10, but was not ttc straight away. BUt the first month we tried I got & more importantly, STAYED pregnant! Believe it or not, when I got my BFP, my acupuncturist was the first person I rang & told- even before my DH! Once I had baby Sean, I sent him a card, thanking him for the wonderful gift he helped to give me & he was so happy with that. I can recommend him highly & all of his family have a medical background. If anyone wants his name, I can PM details.

I had almost same story as Luka. I turned to accupunuture after 2mc's, first in may 2010 a mmc diagnosed at 11 weeks then followed by natural mc in nov 2010 at 8 weeks. Started accupunture in jan 2011 to regulate cycles as was having long cycles and real light periods. Had 4 sessions (weekly) and got pregnant feb 2011 without even putting in a lot of the effort id done the other times >:o)

also had a session while preggers for recurrent uti's, which was also sorted. Id highly reccomend it.

What days are best for acupuncture, some say every week more say twice a month etc, cant really afford once a week tbh!

I did acu for about 6 weeks on my IVF cycle and it worked first time. We had been trying for 3.5 years and had done 3 unsuccessful IUI cycles. I also told my friend who was doing IVF about my acu and she went to him and got pregnant on her first IVF.

Its not cheap but I would definitely recommend it and will be doing it again if necessary. I do think it depends who you go to though, you need to have faith in them.

Also just to say both me & my friend had 'unexplained' infertility which is more difficult to treat with acu than if you have an actual identified problem

Similar to a few other posters I did acupuncture after 2 miscarriages. I hadn't really any problem getting pregnant on any of my pregnancies but it was only when I did the acupuncture that I stayed pregnant. I did it every week to 10 days(I think it was 3 times a month, once at the start of my cycle, once before ovulation and once after ovulation) until I got pregnant and after getting pregnant then did it every 2 weeks until 12 weeks pregnant.

After how much time doing acupuncture did you get pregnant?
