Hey, I was 1hr 10 mins pushing on ds1 and 2 pushes for ds2 and he was out. I was only in the labour room 4 minutes before he was born they said it was a record!!! No epi second time round definitely made a difference although the pain was out of this world :eek :eek :eek

epi on both. 70mins on first and then forceps :o( Second - 9 mins!! was at 8 cms and went to 10 in a couple of minutes, midwife said we'll leave you now for an hour and start pushing (as normally the body takes a break). Literally minutes later I said to her, I felt like I was floating around the room (hard to explain) and she said wow sounds like your're ready, sure give a push if you want and lets see what happens. Babs popped out minutes later.

i was 6mins pushing on my second. they recorded 1 hr 40 on my first but for an hr of that i didnt feel any urge to push. second time is def easier cos you know exactly what to do. getting to the 10cm was a lot tougher for me second time round. u'll be fine.

I had epi on first, pushed for well over an hour and a half and had forceps delivery and epiosotomy.

Had no pain relief on second, pushed for maybe 3-4 minutes (she was out in 2-3 pushes) and had no tears. So it can happen quick and easy even if the first time was hard!

Firstbaby 1 hour exactly, dd 3 weeks ago was 8 mins. She came afyer 6 hours exactly of labour from start to holding her where ds was 24 hours of labour. Had epi on both bit ds was vacuum birth and i was sitting upright for dd.

thanks for all the replies fingers crossed for shorter this time.

wow the oracle and mummytime i had episiotomy on first and long time pushing altho no forceps, here is hoping i have no tears this time like you too. O-O

daff never say never. congrats on the weightloss i see the ticker :o)ll

DD1 - no epi but pushing for about 2 hours and had an episiotomy and some stitches.
DS - epi and pushing for about 2 pushes maybe 5 minutes, wheeled into delivery suite as his head was popping out of my lady bits with student midwife panicking and yelling for help
DD2 - epi again and pushing for about the same time as DS2 with another poor student midwife yelling for help and panicking - I had warned them in advance how quick it was for me on DS but they wouldn't listen >:o) >:o)
No tears or stitches on DS or DD2.
