Movement 2nd time round

Im wondering when Im gonna start feeling some movement. This is baby no 2 and Im 18wks now and still nothing. THought i felt 3 definate kicks about 10 days ago but then nothing since. O:| First time round i felt it about 18wks but i thought u were supposed to feel it earlier 2nd time.

When did you all start feeling it 2nd time? earlier than first?

I felt movement at 18 weeks on DD, and about 16 weeks this time. I wouldn't be too worried, the placenta could easily be in the way cushioning the kicks. I'd be happy to have a break from them sometimes!

On my second I felt the movements later actually, as my placenta was to the front (anterior) on dd2, which is why the moves were cushioned. This can easily be the case with you also. Also, while many feel movements earlier on the 2nd it is by no means 'a rule' ie a must. Am sure all is well.

Hey Missc,
Im in the same boat, will be 19 weeks on Monday and havent felt anything yet either. On DS I felt kicks before 16 weeks so definitely thought Id be feeling something by now.

I have been listening in with my doppler and can hear the wee monkey wrecking around in there so all is well, just impatient to feel something.

I was 18 weeks exactly on first baby and fully expected to feel things earlier on 2nd, but didn't. Found out at scan that I had anterior placenta, which explained it. Baby more than made up for it later in pregnancy!
