Hi Emma

I totally understand how you're feeling!!

It happened to us on our honeymoon!! The day we flew out, our 'friends' booked flights and accommodation and landed out with us a couple of days later. Luckily they were'nt staying in our hotel and they were in a different part of town but they came down to our hotel and all and were ringing hubby's mobile. Oh, did I forget to say they also had their three kids with them??!!

I was absolutely ripping but said nothing. We met up with them over the last couple of days but I was not chuffed at all!

Atleast there's a chance you will be able to avoid your friends as you know in advance what they are planning. If all else fails, I would say something - I know it's not nice to have to say "why dont you just puddle off and leave us to our break alone!!"..or word to that effect!! Dont forget, they're the ignorant ones, expecting you to want to spend your holiday with them and their brats!!

Good Luck - and dont be cancelling your break just because of them - enjoy it and ignore them!! :wink:

Emma after her 'don't worry we'll sort something out' email, I'd reply telling her to sort out her own plans, you don't know if you'll be going or not and to be honest you could do with the time alone. I don't think she could find anything to pick at in that.

Thanks everyone. Mrs Shamrock - I cannot believe that happened to you on your honeymoon - I am speechless!

I don't mind people's kids, and to be honest, not on my holidays or I'd have had my own by now to bring with me.

I am going to be strong and paick up the phone and say something right out.

Need to get my words right.....my sis told me not to care if I mortally offend them as it's a one -sided relationship anyway........but as much as they've annoyed me I find it very difficult to be so straight.....even though I know I shouldn't as they had the brass balls to invite themselves along!
