H2B's son who is ten gave us his list last week. When we added it all up it came to €700!! That is just our half, he has a list for his mother too. He knows that he will not get everything on his list - but he likes to chance his arm. We bought the psp last weekend after a lengthy debate. he originally was not getting it because he already has a game boy, game boy advanced, game boy sp, ps1, 2 x ps2 (one for each house) and he will be looking for ps3 when it comes out next year. But his behaviour has been brilliant lately after a really rough patch and he is doing briliantly in school. So we decided to treat him. His birthday is just before Christmas and four days before the wedding and he is looking for a mobile phone. Don't know if he is too young still. what do you think??

the list that dd gave us is just for our house she gets a ton of stuff when she goes to her dads too :?
with regard to the phone i just dont understand why they have to have one she has been at me for one but its no-way. I still think 10 is too young as well, her dad said she can have one when she is ten so that he can ring her etc i will probably give in, but not on your life is she getting a camera phone. They are too dangerous remember all the reports in the papers about photos flying around of underage girls and boys no way want to keep her as innocent as i can while i can

The debate is on in our house. Hubbie thinks Santa should tone down this year, she's 10. I think he should lay it on thick and fast because its probaly the last year she'll believe, thats if we get to christmas without one of the smart alec's in her class giving her the lowdown!

She's looking for a Karaoke Machine and a Portable DVD player. She's given up asking for the TV for her room, Playstation and Mobile, she knows I won't give in on them.

We bought a new telly and got a free portable dvd with it, so thats put away in the attic, Hubbie reckons thats enough with some small stuff but I know out of it and the karaoke machine, the karaoke would win hands down. So the debate rages on!!!!

Hi

Our son is 9 in October and we are going to make a big deal of this xmas as it may be the last of the santy ones. He got my old mobile last month but no credit he just wanted it for the games .
he wants a go-cart as well for xmas and a dirt bike - 2 chances in hell of that!!
He also wants the ps2 game to go with the new Harry Potter film due out in November so please god they are making one. Other than that he wants just an Eason's voucher which is not too bad really.
We will get him a few treats too for the stocking but he never really asks for much - always limits his list to 3 or 4

Regarding mobile phones and what age...we have a rule in our family that is not until you're 12. It's been almost a coming of age for the younger two
