What to do for Office Xmas party??

HELP!
Thought I had booked the Vaults for this year's Xmas party but because its on a Saturday and because of the date 50% of the people cancelled despite me checking their availability twice!!! Why they don't tell me before I sign the bloody contract and book the venue I don't know. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :evil:

But now I'm stuck. Where do I go? It will only be ten people (hopefully), has ANYONE any suggestions for venues?

we went to the harcourt hotel last year and have to say it was a bit of crack, it was a department doo. They had a casino nite meal and drinks first and then blackjack etc and disco. think it was €35 each good laugh. and the menu just wasnt turkey and bloody ham and mince pies :lol:

we've just booked the sportsbowl, for lunch at 1pm, then bowling at 3pm and then back in the bar for loads of drink, it's always good fun. 4 course meal (5 different main course) and bowling is 35Euros. we have collected money for prizes for the team and everything. something different.

when i worked in dublin we always had our xmas parties in the red cow hotel. the entertainment and food was always great and then it as on to club diva afterwards to dance the night away, i have to say all of the staff always had an incredible time i would highly recommend it!!

Thanks girlies, I booked Chief O'Neills today and will confirm with the last few stragglers tomorrow - dinner, DJ and all for only 47.50 Euro each! Cheers! :wink:

I have to say we went to the Harcourt last year, we were there on the first night and it was crap, food wine and there was a horrible smell. Then a friend of mine went a few nights after and they had a ball. So never again am I going anywhere on the first night of there Xmas parties. Where is Chief O'Neills, that sounds good?

Chief O'Neills is in Smithfield. They are doing a huge bash as well the same night 60 Euro with 5 course dinner and big entertainment but its all booked up. They have a smaller traditional option for the 47.50 which sounds fine to me and thats what I've booked this morning.
