Hi guys. We've just put our house on the market as we are moving to our new home in March/April. Shockingly our first views have put in an offer for the full asking price!! They are cash buyers and want to move in in November. Which means we'll have to rent for 4/5 months. I really thought we'd get to spend one more Christmas in our first home. Am I just being a sentimental old fool?? OUr auctioneer has told us it's unlikely that we'd get this good an offer if we waited as they put the asking price €10,000 over the value of the house.

What would you do??

I think I would wait, if the first people who viewed your house was willing to offer the asking price I'd say you would get it again!
Maybe you could accept the offer but say that you can't move till after Christmas????

Unfortunately the couple are not interested if they cannot move in straight away. They are renting and have two kids and want to be settled for Christmas which is understandable. My head say yes but I'm sad in my heart. aah that sounds so dramatic, but you know what I mean. We've just accepted the offer, no turnign back now.
