Omg - watching live coverage of Rita and its terrible, there are huge fires in the city of Galviston Texas. The stong winds are fueling the fires, the poor firefighters are battling with hot ash and sparks in the wind. There is no petrol for the people trying to evacuate. The winds and rain are battering the coast lines of TX and Louisianna. After Hurricane Katrina this is all the poor people need. And the worse part is that it hasnt even made proper landfall yet!!!!! :shock: :shock:

~These people need our prayers!!

Absolutely Grainne, God love them - it's really terrible to watch. It's been such a bad year for natural disasters and they say with global warming, it's to get worse - this is only the tip of the iceberg!

was just watching it and it's been down graded to a cat 2....that doesn't make it any easier for those already affected.

i know cath 3/4 of a million people withour power and will be for the next couple of days - can you imagine - no air conditioning in 90 degree weather- it would be a nightmare. At least a lot of people managed to get out. Although now new orleans is RE-FLOODING :shock: So god love them all!!!!
