mole mapping

Has any of you ever had this done?

I have a good few moles that i was worried about, went to see my GP who said she wasn't worried about them and gave me referral for a dermatologist as I wanted to take one of them off. Finally got an appointment with her, and she has recommended to do a mole mapping..
Any of you have had it done? Do you know what to expect?

Slightly apprehensive :o(

Friedn of mine had it done and what I gathered from it is they examine the mole and document its state, you then need to do a call back in which they examine again to see if there have been any changes since you were last there. Need to get it done myself actually, everytime i get one removed, I get about 5 in its place.. bummer >:o(

I had it done in January.

Have had 4 miles removed over the years and last time (Last november) surgeon recommended I get it done

Got it done in a place on grafton street. Think it was called the mole clinic

It cost either 150/200 euro.

Took about an hour. You strip down to your underwear and the nurse gets you to stand in a few different positions and she takes full length shots

Then she takes an individual photo of each mole

Turned out I had 127 of them! Took about an hour altogether

It was on a Saturday and got a phonecall Monday with the results. All ok thankfully

Think I have to go back soon for a check up and then it's once a year after
