Freaked out!!

Ok so in our bedroom we have a picture rail above our best with 2 large pictures on it. We have bluetack behind the pics, naked to the eye but just to prevent them from falling and secure them into position.
Lastnight, when I was fast asleep at 3am I got this belt on my face, jumped about 2foot off the bed, so did DH. He turned on the light and one if the pictures was after falling and walloping me in the jaw. They have been up there almost a year and we never had any problems with them. I could barely get back to sleep last night and when i looked it up this morning it's, superstitious wise- it's a sign if a death. Totally terrified now. Might would like I'm being silly, honestly though- it's just so random

If it had happened to me I wouldn't have spared it a second thought to be honest, it wouldn't have occured to me to look for special meanings or anything. I would rethink the way they are fixed, blue tack is obviously not good enough.

Jaysus, i'd have died of the fright alone!!! You poor thing!
But I wouldn't be looking for meaning in it either and I wouldn't worry. I would, however, be moving the photos from above the bed or looking for a way to bolt them securely to the wall.

+1 on the blu tack. Pictures fall off walls. This is a thing that happens all the time and means nothing.

What was the pic off??? Thats a really old superstition....it's suppose to be for a pic of a person you know. So if is a pic of a flower for example your fine!

Similar thing happened to me once. A bookshelf near my bed hadn't been touched for years, then one day the bookend fell while I was sleeping and landed on my eye! Hurt like hell and had a massive shiner for ages! That was a few years ago and I'm still here to tell the tale! :)

The only bad omen your picture falling has is that it might happen again!.. and potentially give you an unsightly bruise!
