Gucci Shoes

I bought Gucci shoes many years ago I only wore them once as the soles are like paper so if I walk out side they are destroyed. Is this normal? Im going to a wedding tomorrow so just dug them out. Is their anything I can do to stop them getting damaged apart from just walk inside with them. lol

Are they leather soled shoes? You could get a thin rubber tip put on the toes of them which would prolong the life a bit. I get this done with any leather soled shoes I buy. Also avoid wearing non-rubbered leather soled shoes in wet weather as they are not waterproof.

If you bring them to a cobbler they'll put a new sole on them. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be the case for Gucci but any pair of LK Bennett shoes I've bought the shop assistant has advised me to get them re-soled before wearing (seems ridiculous when your paying that much money for the shoes!)

All high end designer shoes are like that. You are supposed to get them resoled before you wear them the first time.
