Ah Emme. You had me all misty-eyed there with what I thought was a homage to the great potato substitute of the '70s. For mash get Smash! Second cousin of Readybreak in the tasteless chipboard shavings you should never eat raw (or cooked) but won't resist doing so anyway. Just like baby formula wah wah. Alas it was not to be.

Sell this show to me in 20 words or less there like a good woman.

Bought Season 1 of The Wire today so we've watched an episode of that instead of telly.

I agree Smash is really good, and Jack Davenport helps, he was on that show Flashforward last year too.

Didn't recognise Jack Davenport there initially. The aul grey hair suits him. What is it with some men and aging working wonders? F*ckers. Anyone remember him in This Life? Good show, and he was such a convincing sh*t it put me off him for life.

Saw a woman from Smash on Ellen, where I get all my current affairs updates these days. Got distrated studying her teeth and hair so I missed what she actually said. There was a lot of ecstasy going by the frequency of fangs on display. Spotted Murder She Wrote the other day too Emme and thought of you but The Fletcher failed to entice me away from the clutches of the doc-martened queen of talk shows. It's the dancing what does it.

LOVE IT!! Watched it over the weekend on Anytime. It's a great programme. Katharine McPhee is lovely in it
