facebook snooping should be banned!

Couldnt sleep at all last night so i was doing a bit of facebook snooping, i was loving this new school feed thing snooping on all the witches i used to go to school with :yelrotflmaosmilie:

when i saw one was friends with my ex - who i havent seen or thought about in about 2 or more years, i clicked on his page but all private so i moved on. Cut a long story short we were together 8 years since we were 16, had house, dog etc and he cheated on me with girl from work. Looking back i know it was so out of character for him he was a great fella all through 8 years, its no excuse but he was suffering a bit of depression at time anyway i knew i couldnt be in a relationship with no trust so i walked away - hardest thing ever but i met H2B after and it was best thing i did.

So i arrive in work this morning to find an email from the ex! open it and read the first line saying 'i got your friend request but i'm really sorry i cant accept it' what request :eek

He goes into a whole thing about its still hard for him and he hasnt been able to get into another proper relationship because of what he did to me and he still thinks about me all the time. He said he knows im happy now and it would be too hard for him to see that on facebook.

I dont know what to do, i feel like replying saying let it go, move on but i dont want to open up can old worms and i especially dont want to be in contact with him without telling my H2B which i dont want to do. Thats end of my late night facebooking on my iphone!

its so easy on the iphones or blackberrys to add them rather than look at their page. I have done it before when I was doing snopping!

Oh God I accidentally "liked" a photo of my ex with his new girlfriend while snooping on my BlackBerry and I couldn't bleedin' "unlike" it til I got to a computer hours later!!! MORTO doesn't describe the half of it.

facebook is automatically sending friend requests it seems - I got one saying "x accepted your friend request" - I never requested her as a friend - she was tagged in a photo of a mutual friend which I viewed and then she said a request from me popped up! how dare Facebook just do this automatically !! O:|

McLisa - I did the EXACT same thing with an ex of mine. When you are looking using the Facebook app you can be just scrolling along but there's this + sign beside their name and I tapped it by accident - didn't realise till after so had to go back in and delete the friend request but also log into his e mail and delete the notification e mail - we hadn't long broken up and we were on awful terms like so I felt SICK a soon as I realised I had requested him!

That'll teach me to be a nosey cow! :o0

This is so scary. I got a friend request accepted recently from someone I know I didn't request. It was just a work colleague but I was like that's weird.

Defo brings my facebook stalking to an end!!

What do you think it is accidentally sending friend request or Facebook automatically sending request??? If it was the latter I think I nearly leave it altogether!

Can they? Are they?

Okay, I can understand the mistake with the I phones etc but surely they can't friend request without your permission?

I got a friend request from a girl the other day, I have no idea who she is but we do have 1 mutual friend. They shouldnt be allowed to send friend requests on your behalf, it's ridiculous. So much for privacy
