Kerry Katona, she used to be married to someone who used to be in Westlife, he's not as "famous" as she is. I detest the woman Madonna, I really dont see the point of her, if she was singing in the front garden I'd close the curtains (Bono is in the same category) Brendan O'Connor is crap too. On another note, I watched Something Borrowed at the weekend and I thought it was Tom Cruise in it, its Colin Egglesfield (I never heard of him either) but he's awfully cute! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Colin_Egglesfield.jpg

Let it all out there BOR! For me, it has to be the one and only (thank Fcuk) Gay Bryne. His face, his voice, his existence. Probably not so relevant any more, as he's pretty much out of sight these days, but I'm scarred by too many Friday nights to admit to, being forced to sit through his bullsh!t. Remember the days when there was only one telly (sans remote) in da house? Torture. What a d!ck. A more contemporary pain in my gee would be Oprah. I used to love her. But after one too many sessions of watching her audience behave like gormless, clapping seals at some sh!te she said, I've lost the love. She's a chat show host, not Ghandi. Hmmm, thinking about it, it's the audience I had the real problem with. Can I throw in Oprah's soccer mom audience even though they're not actually famous?

Oh yes indeed. If OH wants to see me get very riled up all he does is Gay Byrne's AWFUL American accent that he used to put on, d'ya remember that? It makes me laugh cos OH is very good at it but then I immediately want to peel my own skin off. OR when he used to call Ballyfermot... Ballyferm-oh. AAAAAGH. Give me strength.

There is a clip of the late late that makes me love Gay Byrne. NO matter what he does I will always remember this clip. But of course I can't find it now. But here is a description of said clip:
Ryan played a clip from The Late Late Show on May 2nd 1997. Just as Gay Byrne was coming to the end of the show featuring the poet Brendan Kennelly, he phoned the competition winner. The first person he picked was out playing tennis so he couldn't win the prize. The next person Gay phoned was a woman called Rita Hanley from Togher in Cork. Rita wasn't expecting the call and informed Gay that her 33 year old daughter Linda had been knocked down and died the night before. Brendan Kennelly offered a reflection by means of a poem.
It was amazing to watch and makes Gay Byrne a master of his craft, if you ask me, of course.

Have yiz heard Mario Rosenstock doing Gay Byrne? Priceless. Especially him giving the most "patronising sweets" to his guests - bon bons. Try saying them in a Gaybo voice. See? fun to think and to try.
