I did this "fad" for about 3 days before I became really sick.

There is no fruit allowed week 1 so after about 2/3 days I had coldsores, sore throat, bad skin etc etc...
It is terrible. I would not recommend it at all

Weight Watchers is the best imo.
2 and a half months so say 10/11 weeks you could easily lose 14+ pounds on weight watchers if you do it correctly and at least you know your body is still healthy

lemon, i've just started doing a low carb diet...trust me it wasnt easy at start as i dont feel like i'm having a meal unless there is a side dish of enormous carbs - only been at it over a week and lost 2 and half pounds first week. I dont have that much to lose looking to drop about 10lbs at most and any other diet i do its about a pound a week loss max. First few days were tough but i feel great now and you can eat all the foods that are banned on other diets - i'm still getting my head around this. For dinner at weekend i had steak with pepper sauce and vege on sat, sunday i had chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese and sundried tomatoes and cabbage and bacon. I'm not as hungry as i am on other diets.

I go to gym and do two classes on a monday night (body combat and a yoga/pilates class) and i try to get to one on a thurs but i bought the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred for days i'm at the gym, its only a 20 min work out so easy to fit in but it is intense!

Which book?

If you are worried about WW because of the counting it really is so simple. Once you eat chicken twice you know how much it is, veg is free, potatoes are the same as the chicken - calculate it once and job done.

My first week doing this I lost 3.5 pounds, no low carb, no exercise, just portion size control.
It really is not diet and if you stick to it you will easily lose more than 1lb a week

I do a programme called the primal blueprint www.marksdailyapple.com If you regsiter with the website you get all the information you need for free. Or you can buy the book if you wish. Its a low carb plan but does not restrict fruit and veg so is very healthy. Have a look at it, it takes getting used to but I actually hate bread and pasta now, something I never thought I'd say!

I cannot recommend this diet enough - all the studies back it up. It really works for health and to make you slim and toned too!

How much did u loose BOR? I've been doing SW but hit a plateau. Did low carb before I got married & didn't find it hard at all. Just cut out bread, rice, pasta & potatoes & lost a load of weight quite quickly. I must check out that website.

Well, for me it was more about health than losing weight but I did lose over a stone. I'm still losing weight, more slowly now then at the beginning and sometimes I do slack off and put on a few pounds but the longer I am doing it now, the more dedicated and faithful I am to the plan. I am 5' 7" and just under ten stones but wouldn't mind losing a bit more weight and toning up too. That's why I am starting kettlebell classes.

Being primal is not just about what you eat and what exercise you do, it's kind of a whole lifestyle change, a different more positive outlook and attitude about everything.

I've been doing the primal plan for about a year and a half now. But like I said there were times when I fell off the wagon; my honeymoon, Christmas that kind of thing but I just went straight back onto it and lost the weight I gained pretty much immediately. If you really care about your health then it is the best diet around.

A world without bread *Munch scream*

I've been having a serious stab at surrending the aul bread for the last few weeks. How the f*ck does anyone successfully manage it? Where do you put your peanut butter and your crisps?

Help.
