Clothes collection stickers.

Are these a swizz? Got two in the door over the weekend and would be handy to just stick my bags of unwanted clothes outside but I don't want them going to some chancer rag merchant. I'd much rather drive to a charity shop if I thought these clothes weren't going to be used for charitable purposes. Both stickers are lacking in information and have spelling mistakes, hmmm, something fishy about these, do you reckon?? Have some really good clothes to donate so I think I'll go to Oxfam or Women's Aid instead. Kind of gross to think that people would fake charities for their own gain.

Total swizz.

Either your clothes will be sold on and these 'charities' make profit out of them (the profit not going to needy people you understand, but into a cowboy's back pocket), or if they're not good enough to sell, they're dumped by the side of the road.

You think you're doing a good thing, when in fact someone is making money off you and/or littering on your behalf.

Bring your clothes to a registered charity shop like the Vincent de Paul/Barnardos, or even a recycling bring bank, don't use these stickers.

They're really really annoying aren't they? We easily get two a day, seriously, it's really bad here. They go straight in the bin. I'd love the cops to catch them.

Oh these are a bugbear of mine! Hardly a day goes by without one or another in the door. They are registered companies, not charities, so they are not the places to give clothes to for charitable reasons.

Yeah, we've gotten loads in the door since we moved here and I just chuck them cos I don't trust them, was just wondering as I did a big wardrobe clear-out recently and have clothes going a-beggin'. It's actually appalling to know this goes on. I hope I catch them the next time they post it in, going to ask a lot of questions and give them a piece of my mind. I'll go to a reputable charity with the clothes instead.
