Postby BrideOfRecession » Wed May 09, 2022 7:24 pm

Anyone used em? I just want a bit of body, not so much curls.

Do you put them on wet or dry hair?

I'm atlking about these new style rollers that are comfy to war in bed apparently - here's a link: http://velcrosleeprollers.com/lookup002.html

What makes them different to regular velcro rollers?

Sorry - I see now. They're spongy.
If they don't keep the shape of the roll, can't imagine them being much good.

I put rollers in while hair is damp rather than wet and then add heat.

I saw them being tested on xpose yesterday I think. Stylist said to put them in damp hair for best results but you can put them in dry hair either. They are velcro so will hold your hair in place but I really wonder would you be able to sleep wiht them. In saying that id be willing to try them just to see what they would be like. :o0

I just ordered these a few days ago. Mairead Farrell was talking about them on the Ray Darcy show a few mornings ago. She reckoned they were the best rollere she's ever used.
Decided to give it ago. I ordered the hat thing as well for using the hair dryer on. I'm hoping for great things lol!
I would imagine it would be best with slightly damp hair with some mouse to help it hold the curl when it dries.
There are some links to you tube clips on the website.
Check it out.

Did anyone see Mairead Farrell after she used them?
http://www.todayfm.com/Shows/Weekdays/R ... fBlog.aspx
I heard her talk about them and herself and Ray and Will said that they looked great, but to be honest I was expecting alot more curls.
They'd be no good for me anyway my hair is too short.

Emmmm... would have expected a bit better results than that tbh - not quite "Kate Middleton" hair as it states there! It does look like they give some body at the roots though.

Keep us posted with any feedback on them ladies!

Would have expected more curls on Maireads hair. But they def seem to give more volume. I ordered a set for my sister from Make Up Box in Naas through their facebook page and they said they'd be in touch and nothing. Must check with them.

Well mine arrived, along with the Hairdryer hood, and I tried them out!
I hadn't time to put them in the night before so it was just on Sat evening before we went out.
I freshly washed my hair and put volumising mouse into it. The dried it about 70% when head up side down. Put in the rollers which was relaly easy and only took me about 10mins. I sprayed a bit of water on bits if it had dried a bit too much as well.
Now as I had only an hour I hadn't time to wait i used the hair dryer hood for about 10-mins.
You just put the whole thing over the rollers and then tighten it around your hair line.
Keep your ears out as they get too hot. Then stick the hairdryer in the nozzle end on turn on to max. It heads up relaly fast and wasn't uncomfortable at all. I did my makeup while it was going so not wasting time.
Well my hair was so bouncy and full of volume after. It wasn't relaly curly but def more so than Maireads.
I usually do a curly blowdry for myself but it takes me ages and my arms get knackered so I found this so much handier and less stressful.
Dying to actually try them over night too. They are completley spongy and I'd say you'd sleep in them. Maybe pop in a few hair grips or a hair net so them stay in place over night.
All in all i was happy and will be using them loads!
