Daff, probably a stupid question, but does the choc biscuit cake freeze? I really want to make one, but I really don't want to eat it all in one sitting... which I very likely will if it's not ziplocked in the freezer in the shed! :-8

i haven't tried it with that one but did with my wedding cake and it was fine. Looked weird, had a white streak to it, but was fine. It's really just butter and chocolate and they both freeze... I think :o0

Yeah, that's what I thought. Probably safest just freeze a little bit to check...it'd be terrible if I ruined most of it accidentally... :innocent:

Meggi, heres the recipe I use, its yum!

1 pkt of Rich Tea biscuits (I usually get the Tesco Value ones, they are about 30c or something)
2oz butter
1 can of condensed milk
6 oz (about 1 bar ) of cooking chocolate
1 large bar Dairy Milk

Crush biscuits. Melt butter, cooking choc and condensed milk in a saucepan and then add biscuits. Mix well

Put into lined loaf tin and put in fridge to set. I usually take it out of loaf tin once top part has set as bottom sets better out of tin. Once set melt the Dairy Milk and cover top of cake. Leave to set again. Then eat!

If you wrap it really well in cling film it freezes perfectly, but the odlums site has a recipe for a 6 inch cake I think, that's not too big, and it lasts 3-4 weeks if it's kept in the fridge.

Thanks SorrentoWife, I'll make one at the weekend. I have all the ingredients bar the Rich Tea. Between this and R2theB's blue cheese dip I have a tasty indulgent weekend ahead.
