Ok - I out the dress and shoes on and showed the girls live with - they hated it! If I had a full length mirror I could over rule them but I don't and I don't trust the image in my brain.

So I bought some black heels and am wearing them instead. Problem is they are open toed and my legs are a bit blotchy looking so I was wearing tights but now I can't wear them with the open toe shoes. BUt I found open toe tights and am wondering has anyone ever wore these? DO you think it looks a bit odd? You know that your legs are all tights but then your toe is not tights?

Do you know what I mean?

I can't use fake tan - I hate it so that is not an option.

I can't really imagine that open toe tights would look great with open toe shoes - but I've never seen it before so could be wrong!

Could you get to Penny's and get a pair of plain black high shoes? I got a fab pair a while back for 22 euro and wear them out all the time.

My mam wears these with peep toes and they always look fine on her (she's still quite stylish so I don't mean that in a you'll look like an auld one way.)

I've been tempted a few times and bought 2 fab pairs of peep toes the other day so think I'll be investing in toe less tights. You want to get the ones with the loop that goes around your middle toe, otherwise they can slip up your foot.

Thanks Minnie - I bought them anyway, I don't really have much of a choice at the moment. I showed the girls I live with and they said they didn't even notice so all good, I hope.

Get one of the harpies to take it. And call her that as well. 'Here you, harpy, take this picture of me will ya?'
