anyone else pe'ed off?
Great hubbie, home, holiday coming up, good job, money....
An i'm pe'ed off... Thinking...is this it...Is this my life? getting up at 630 home at 7....maybe 3 hours to myself & then i'm wrecked -ready for bed....and do that all 5 times, to have two lousy days off a week? Ba' humbug xx [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wzC1ObX/]

Ah yes, the 'Is this its?'
I know them well. I'd imagine we all do at some stage or another, the daily grind can get you down. Thing to do I think is acknowledge them - it's ok to feel p*ssed off now and again. It's ok to feel in a bit of a rut. Usually this passes by itself, something nice happens or you go to a party, or have a day out with husband, or get an invitation to a wedding and suddenly things don't seem so bad anymore. I also usually feel a bit more yuck when it's close to period time, so I try to tell myself that in a few days, this too shall pass! Chin up! Here, have a pint ![]() [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I think it's probably the weather at the moment, it's enough to get anyone down! At least if the evenings were a bit nicer it'd feel like you'd have a bit more time (even if you don't really).
Chin up & try to make the most of the days off you do have and think of all the good things you have going on. Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
One of those days eh? Groundhog day......
I find it's the simple things that make the days go by: a kiss from either kid, DS telling me he 'likes me alot' ,a new top, loosing a lb. I don't expect much these days. This is unfortunately 'it', our lives. What else can I expect? Winning the lotto etc?? Na, not gonna happen. Guess we have to make our own excitement. That's why we are looking at moving to another country and making our own adventure. Sure life is for living and experiencing and I don't think I've done either of enough ![]() ![]() Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I had one of those days today and just like u I have so much to be thankful for. I actually feel guilty for not appreciating my privaaged life. Then i read this and i am thinking maybe my period is coming

Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
Ye I feel like this a lot. It usually passes unfortunately for me were not great financially nap I work a 7- 12 hr day 5 days a week (at least 2 days a week are 12 hrs one is actually 17hrs) with nothing to show for it.
But it passes I think about our weekends and the future with kids (positively) and I try and get out and go for a walk (not exercise just relax) or just go to bed (for sleep or ![]() Hope you feel better soon ![]() Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
You think thats bad....Murder she wrote isn't even challenging me anymore. I can see the killer a mile off. Will have to graduate to Father Dowling Mysteries.
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
Emme, would you not brave a leap over to the cigar swivelling genius of Columbo? Why guess the killer when you can start with having the killer identified from the oft as some pantomine like baddie and recline with a bowl of Dorritos* while the betrench-coated one nails him/her with his cunning ramshackleness and the odd reference to the mysterious Mrs. C. Rivalled only by Taggart ("there's bin a muuuuuuuuuuuuuuurder") for low budget heroics.

Columbo pah - Rosemary & Thyme is where you want to go Emme, a murder AND gardening tips, it doesn't get any better.
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I fancy DC Jones in Midsommer...I like the way he's perpetually confused. And actually Barnaby is alright too..makes a Volvo look sexy. I also tried 'Pie in the Sky'. Delightful romp.
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
Delightful romp you say? That'd be Withnail and I. Thanks for the reminder and inadvertently busting the little self-pity party I had going. I've everything to be thankful for but never let perspective get in the way of a dose of the me feins. It started off with the creeping realisation that I'm getting on a bit, and discovering I'm the carrier of a rare boredom gene. My conversational frame of reference has shrunk to the merits of one wet wipe over the other and I'm one dodgy neckscarf away from gaining honoury membership of the ICA. I was about to go lie in the bath fully clothed before crowning the morning off with some rivita. I'll watch a film instead. It's afternoon already? well, that's one thing ticked off my list.
Don't worry, I was only joking about the rivita. Formerly known as Prince
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I voted for FG (second preference) in the last election and immediately considered joining the ICA...it was either that or joining the local breasfeeding cafe and as I wasn't breastfeeding at the time I felt that might be unproductive whereas at least with the ICA I'll be able to make a victoria sponge. Then Matlock came on.
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I'm prone to days like these. I always have been. I think it's a normal human affliction. We are seldom, if ever, happy with our lot all of the time. I could sit and write a list about all I have and all I should be thankful for but on those days, all I can focus on are the things I don't have or am never likely to have. Or the size of my arse. Thankfully, those days pass.
Yesterday was a similar one for me. But being a dab hand at it all now, I did what works. I stayed in my pyjamas, turned off the phone, made a mahoosive mug of hot chocolate with special-occassion marshmallows, took to the couch wrapped up in a duvet and watched movies. All day. Woke up this morning like a new person. Hope things look a bit more half full today OP. Oh and just one more thing (Columbo fans), much as I love the trench coated sleuth, Poirot's where it's at for me these days. His little grey cells do wonders for my own. Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
I have a Poirot 'Murder on the Orient Express' recorded on the sky box. Unreasonably excited at the prospect of watching it. I also have a Miss Marple....I have the world on a string!
Re: anyone else pe'ed off?
That is one of my all time faves Emme, you're in for an absolute treat. Is it Suchez or Ustinov?
