Our dog pulls like crazy when lead attached to his collar so we got a no pull harness from Dog Training Ireland. Its called a sense-ible harness and its amazing! Well worth it!

My cocker pulls like a manic too... he drives me insane.....

i tried everything from a halti...to a gentle leader head collar... a harness, it didn’t work on my guy as it gave him more leverage to pull... in the end my dog trainer recommended the dogmatic...
its excellent, I ordered it from the UK around 4 years ago and never looked back, best money I’ve ever spent... best of luck ..

The harness we got attaches to lead at front so if dog pulls they turn themselves around.

This seems brill might have to try one of them.

When we first got our springer a harness a few months back it was heaven! she did not pull at all ..... she soon figured out how to pull and reifes the arms of me . I am the only one who can walk her and I enjoy walking her if she did not pull, she pulls every step of the way til she gets off the lead! it really does drive me insane I come back so strtessed and it is not fun for her either i imagine!

Ask your vet. They'll know exactly what will suit your dog. I have a pom & had a collar on him & the vet said try a harness as he was coughing on the collar coz he was pulling so hard.So we fitted him with a harness in the vets & it's much better. Your vet will measure the size. Happy walking!

I can't walk our dog without the harness. He's like a steam train with just his lead and collar. He ends up choking himself he's pulling so hard.
The harness we have means when he pulls he turns himself around so gets nowhere! Also we got him trained when we got him initially and the trainer told us to stop as soon as we feel tension on the lead and only go when the dog stops pulling. Eventually he learned not to pull as much as it ends up with being stopped and takes longer to get where he wants to go.
A lot of evenings now we walk him off lead as its quiet and hes v good to stay with us. Doesn't go up to anyone (just pauses in case they want to admire him! :o0 ) and then goes on. Theres lakes really near our house and we walk him around those and on the way there he stays on the inside and stops when he gets to the end of the path and waits for us to tell him its ok to go. Now if we could get him to be that obedient inside the house!

Oh yes he pullson the harness too, but at least it's not pulling on his neck which was the problem. As he is small, if he gets very "pully" I just stop & pick him up for a minute, that kind of stops him then once I put him back down. DH has an Alsation & I am genuinely NOT able to walk her, she's SO strong!
