Recommend Boarding Kennel in Kildare

We have to put our 2 dobermans into a kennel for the first time next month and was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation? One is almost 4 and pretty big even for a doberman and the other is 6 months. They are very playful and great with each other but I am nervous of putting them in a kennel as I will worry about them :-8

maybe look into home boarding rather than kennels? the dogs are then kept in a home environment rather than being in kennels all day. personally i hate kennels and would never leave my dog in them but that is just me!

Hi, we were v reluctant to put our dog into kennels as had an idea of dogs being locked up all day etc and knew he'd hate that. So we have a lady who minds him in her house during day and then drops him home at night. Its expensive though and shes not always available so when we were away for 1 night we tried the kennels. I called out and no bother being shown around there and then. They are v open with anyone who calls. The place is lovely. The dogs are hardly inside at all, they have a 64 ft run at the back of the sleeping area (raised bed and heater) and then during the day they are out in the 8 acre field where they can run and play. When I called out there were 2 dogs in another run by themselves and man explained they were fighting with other dogs but got on ok with each other so were kept separate so was glad to see they took precautions. Dogs are kept by size in the enclosures behind sleeping area.
We've left Buddy there a good few times now and he likes it. Last time he was a bit hesitant to go in but we spoke to owner and he said when he's there there's not a bother on him. He has obviously just copped going there means he's not with us and at home. Man said last time all the staff got great craic out of Buddy as in the morning when they let the dogs out to go down to the field most of them wander out and stroll down. Buddy was at door waiting to be let out, tore out and started rounding up the others to go and play!

I can recommend a kennels and the lady owns and shows Dobermanns herself and is very experienced with the breed.
They are down in Mountmellick though, a bit further away but would be worth the trip.
