Albufeira - Venue for party the day after?

Hi all,

I'm getting married in Albufeira at the end of September :xox

I'm on the lookout for somewhere to have a get-together the night after the wedding. A lot of people will still be around that night & I'd love to reserve a place so people could meet up if they wanted.
We'd ideally like a bar terrace overlooking the sea, where we could have a buffet or barbecue & a few drinks with a relaxed, chilled out atmosphere. The dream would be if it also had a piano as we have lots of people willing to strike up a singsong!!
Would anyone have any suggestions for a place that would tick even some of these boxes??

Hi LabLover,

We had a bbq the day after our wedding in a terraced restaurant. Its called Casa De Fonte and it is based in the Old town. It has a pub right next to it which is also part of the restaurant.

The food is to die for, all our group loved the Chicken Wings....... YUM YUM

Thanks so much Minnie! Our wedding planner had recommended that restaurant, but I thought if it was a restaurant it might be too formal. If they did a BBQ that would be great, I'll def check them out
Did you book it yourself or through your planner?

Hi lab lover,
I also got married in the Algarve in July,we had a BBQ the day after in Casa do fonte also ,which was arranged by our wedding planner Paula ,food and service was excellent and it's not formal very relaxed and chilled in lovely surroundings,we have returned to the Algarve a week ago and ate there twice food is really good and the staff and owner Josie really looked after us.highly recommend it

Our wedding planner also organised it. Unfortunately I dont have any photos of it to share with you. Its not formal at all. All of our guests turned up in t-shirt and shorts, had a few beers and had great crack. You just help yourself and can go up as often as you can and get as much food as you wish.

I will definately be going back there again.

Hi lab lover,
I also had a BBQ the day after my wedding in Casa do fonte,
Food setting and service is really good.my wonderful wedding planner Paula booked it for me,was very relaxing just what we needed the day after our wedding in July.

Food was so good when we returned to the Algarve last week we went back and ate there twice they really looked after us!
Would highly recommend it !!!

Hi there. Im also on the lookout for somewhere! Going to Albufeira for easter so can check it out. The BBQ idea seems great but did ye do anything re entertainment? I'd love a guy with a guitar or something. We'll have about 70 people. Is Casa de F the type of place you'd have music? Or do they provide entertainment?
Also, what kind of time did ye all meet up?

Hi Colisaunt,
We ended up having a party in Casa sa Fonte & it was really brilliant. Loads of food, really relaxed & they couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend it. One of the reasons we went there was because one of our guests plays the piano & sings & he was able to set up a rented keyboard & microphone in a corner of the bar & we all had a big singsong, was great O-O

. But I'm sure they could organise some entertainment for you either.
Only issue was that we had to start about 4pm, which felt v early after a late night the night before. This was because they served us food out in the courtyard but they could only reserve that area for us early on, later it is a restaurant & they have to open it up to diners. Hope that helps!

Hi all, I am thinking about doing this the day after my wedding too, how many did you get food for, like you don't have to get exactly the amount of people that attend the wedding cause it is BBQ? Did anyone get wine, does this cost much??

We weren't sure either how many to get food for, so just gave a best guess & it was fine, there was tons of food to be honest. We also paid for a free bar for a few hours, unfortunately tho I can't remember how much that was - if you are using a wedding planner they should be able to organise it for you
