Chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage?

I think thats what Im having.
Had a positive test on friday when my af was 5 days late.
I started bleeding lightly yesterday evening, and continued lightly today.
I have no tests left to test again tomorrow.

My periods are always 30-31 days apart, and never this late, and with the positive test on friday and the bleeding now, its making me think its an early misscarriage.
Im not sure if this is how it happens, my own periods are usually heavy for 2 days and then get lighter, nothing like this.

Any advice appreciated xx

ps im ttc #2 nearly 5 yrs and this was the furthest Ive come to a positive.
was plainnig ivf abroad next year.
ive low progesterone so an early mis would make sense :(

I am sorry to hear that,I have little advice for u other than see ur doctor as s/he will advise u.Maybe u can go first thing nd morn.Thinking of u...try not to stress urself too much until u see d doctor.

Thanks Theresa, I will, hopefully she will have some advice, I fear as with most womens issues, she prob wont have any answers.

hey dont worry yet, some people bleed lightly early on and a pregnancy, definitely go to your GP and maybe she could take bloods for you. It must be an awful shock firstly to get the bfp and then this, I really hope its not a chemical pregnancy for you.

maybe your doctor will prescribe progesterone to try and sustain your next bfp?

yummymum, i am so sorry to see this. So cruel after so long trying. I have nad a chemical & I know how crushing it is. I think that if your af is actaully late & you get a positive it is classed as a miscarriage but I could be wrong. Either way its so tough.

I think you should go to your doc to have a chat & get it on your file anyway. I wonder is there any sort of progesterone support you can be prescribed?

Yummymumm I had bleeding on my 3rd Pregnancy and ds2 will be 1 in 5 weeks time. The two pregnancies I lost my angels with I had no bleeding(missed miscarriages). I was told it was hormonal bleeding on ds, so maybe ring your GP and ask their opinion. I really hope this is a sticky little bean and will keep my fingers crossed for you.

thanks ca cest moi, I was at the doctor earlier and she confirmed that more than likely it was a chemical pregnancy.
I kind of knew though. Just have to move on.

Nurse told me I might bleed lightly for about 2 weeks. No idea when or if I will ovulate now.

sorry to hear that yummy, hope you're doing ok, It took me 41 days to get my next AF after chemical pregnancy so everyone is different, there is no reason why you wont ovulate as normal this month,

Yummy I had a chemical before and bled for two weeks. My next cycle was back to normal though and I conceived dd2. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out this month

Yummymumm I am so so sorry to hear that. I was really hoping for a good outcome for you. Fingers crossed that you will get a bfp very soon though and will be welcoming a new little bundle home in 2013.
