Baby is too big for small bath but too small for big bath!

Baby is too big for small bath but too small for big bath!

Postby Jabberwocky » Thu May 10, 2022 7:30 pm

Hi all,
Just wondering what to do at this in-between stage!? When baby is in the small bath, he splashes everywhere and everything gets wet. He's 4 months and holding his head but still a bit wobbly! Just wondering is there some knack to bathing at this in-between stage that I'm unaware of!

Cheers,
J

Put him in the bath with only a small bit of water. He wil kick away and make his way up and down the bath. That's what we did anyway.

I have this

http://www.toys.ie/Babylo-Bath-Sponge-!107365-prd.aspx

you put LO lying on it and it prevents them from slipping around. My DS is 5 months and have been using it since he is about 2 or 3 months as he is a very long baby. It also frees up both your hands. DS still kicks and splashes while lying on it.

Use this for my twins since they were about four months in the big bath and for the last couple of mins before I take them out I just let they lie fairly flat in the bath (holding them of course) and let them kick like crazy! They love that!
The link is to smyths but I bought the exact same one in tesco for €12/13

We got one of these reclining seats for the bath - DD loved it.

perfect solution really....hold with one hand, sponge down with the other and your not bending over. plus no buying and storing of new equipment that will only last a month...

I got a bath dam in smyths, I put it half way up the bath so I wasn't filling a full bath. Then I just lay ds flat and let him 'swim'. He loved it but my mam had a canary the first time she seen me lie him flat :o0

Maybe the mothercare aquapod?

I don't have one but was looking at it last week and thinking of getting one. I read some good reviews about it on here.

Hi,

We got a baby elegance bath, much bigger than normal baby baths. Then put the baby bath in our bath so unless there is a huge amount of splashing it is caught by the big bath.

Hope that makes sense?!
