recently changed formula to Enfamil AR and it's working great for reflux but think it's beginning to cause a little constipation. Is there anything I can give LO to help move things along?

recently changed formula to Enfamil AR and it's working great for reflux but think it's beginning to cause a little constipation. Is there anything I can give LO to help move things along?

Hi,
Had same problem with my 9'week old. Gave him 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar in 1 oz of cooled boiled water this morning and have a "result" already.

My DS is also on the enfamil AR plus gaviscon and he can be constipated too every few weeks. I second the brown sugar in boiled water. def works and he loves it!

TBH i had big issues with constipation with my first baby and used to go the natural route. This time I asked Doc and she advised that Babylax is good and they dont get a lazy bowel if you use it once a week til they become more regular. I got it in the chemist, and baby pooed in 3 minutes and much to my relief, I can tell u he was a happy camper after that and so was I. I am not suggesting you use it all the time but it is useful. I must say I only used it once and have LO on Aptimel Comfort (for constipation)> Anyway it might be worth looking up. Good luck

Thanks a mill girls, she's not too bad and it's early days so I'll let her suss herself out but just wanted a remedy to hand when it does start causing her problems.
