Amber Teething Necklaces - Do they work, yes or no>?

A lady in a chemist told me about these today. I have to say Ive never heard of them and cant believe they actually work.

to anyone who has used them or know something about them can your recommend?

do they work...yes or no?

My friend has one on her little girl and it made a huge difference. Stopped the rosy cheeks and nappy rash. Her friend noticed a difference with it too. Definitely worth a try!! I would of tried anything when my little girl was teething.

Hi,
I sceptically got one for my ds as he was going through hell with teething and was willing to try anything!! it definitely worked. After a few weeks I felt he had got thru his rough patch so i took it off. 2 weeks ago he started teething again so i put it back on and i havnt looked back since!!! defo think its the necklace. he passes no remarks on it either tho other people do!!!

DD has been wearing anklet for the past few weeks- definitely noticed there's less dribbling & chewing when the anklet is on.

I have heard good reviews on these too, I would love to hear more feedback tho. I don't like how they look but if they really do work I would give it a try. I like the idea of the anklet!

DD has worn one every day from when the first tooth came up. We find it great & notice a difference if we forget to put it on! Apparently more effective around neck than ankle tho. See lots of baby boys wearing them around neck in creche. Also be careful ... Some on eBay r just coloured beads so make sure to buy from reputable source!

Got ours from teethingsos. These are amber and each bead is individually knotted so if it brakes only one bead will come away. But my lo can't get her hands near the necklace.
Has been on since 4 months. No drooling or nappy rash so far and no night problems due to teething.
We only take it off for bath time. She has 4 teeth with incisors peaking through as I type.
Wasn't sure at start and was then afraid to take it off but now my hubby and I agree we think it's working. Also we do have to give nurofen from time to time because there is still discomfort. Asked a PHN, she said the research being done was showing something to do with the amber neutralising the acidity in the saliva?

I ordered one at 6.30 am one morning with a screaming baby due to teething, thought I'd try anything as couldnt keep giving nurofen before every bottle!

We have it 3-4 weeks now and although 5 mth old still has his uncomfortable days, I was only thinking last week, it must be helping as I've only given him nurofen once since we got it, and I had it off, forgot to out it on him one day last week and he was really bad, would not settle and crying badly for quite some time during day.

Was at a childrens birthday party with him last weekend, and people did notice it, were asking why he had a necklace on! Then I got all the horror stories about children choking etc that people had read in papers!

I also got it from teethingsos, never put it on him going to sleep at night, just on during the day.

Tried it as an anklet but keeps rolling off his foot, but to be honest he doesnt even know it's on him.

Yes would reccommend!

I would be terrified of these just wondering how small are the beads .... I am a worrier though and have read kids choking on nuts and unpopped popcorn kernals etc. How safe are they?

I got mine in Bella Baby in black cos I have a DS but the teethingsos ones are lovely. Definately think it works and I know a few ppl who swear by them. Not too many ppl pass comment on them as you can't see them most of the times, if they do they just think I'm trying to be cool making him look like a surfer dude or something!! Definately would recommend trying it.

Two of my friends are using these with their babies and find them brilliant. They both use the anklets.
