Hungry baby formula - what age?

Evening ladies, wht age can you start using hungry baby sma?
Dd is 3.5 weeks old, currently weaning her of breastfeeding as she is constantly hungry. 4 pm today she drank 4 oz and 2 hours later she was starving again so took a bf for 15 min, 20 min later had another bf. 30 min later screaming again so had 2oz formula.

When can i introduce hungry formula?

Hi there, are you sure she's hungry? It might be reflux. Also there's a growth spurt around this time which might be why she's drinking more. Just be careful with hungry baby formula, I've seen it create more problems than it's fixed. It's very heavy and I would say that at 3.5 weeks it's far too early to use it.

thanks babymomma, dont think its reflux as her bouncer and cot are both elevated. ds had reflux so she has no signs of it compared to what he had.

im not going to buy the hungry forumla yet, shes only being weaned at the moment so want her to get used to the bottle first, i was just wondering.

Im one of those mothers who definitely wouldn't hungry formula, especially not at this age. We had ds on hungry formula for a week. It made him very consipated and took 4 weeks for him to get back to normal.
Sma is a light formula. Cow and Gate is a heavier formula but easier to digest (as lower in iron)than hungrier formula.

As far as I can remember we changed DS to hungry baby Aptimal about 5-6 weeks.
