PLAIN wedding dresses

Help,
Every wedding dress shop and website I have been to, the dresses are all very ornate.
This type of dress does not suit me. I need something classic, plain, simple and with sleeves to hide the bingo wings! Any suggestions of designers or shops??

modern fashions in dundalk have every style, frilly frocks drogheda or edel tuite drogheda all have a wide range of dresses x

Have you looked at any Marylise dresses? If you look at the website some of the dresses have minimal decoration or none at all.

just a tip, if you are having problems finding a plain dress with sleeves that you like - would you consider getting a strapless dress or one with straps & wearing a bolero over it? something lightweight like lace or organza/chiffon?

The girl in Tamem Michael can adjust any of their own range dresses - a lot of which are pretty simple
Not sure where you are based but they may be worth a look.

Another option is to have the dress made. This is the route I am going down, it's 50% cheaper and I am getting exactly what I want.
May be worth thinking about if you are finding it difficult.

I saw a few lovely simple ones in Sharon Hoey on Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2. She stocks her own designs as well as Amanda Wakely amongst others.

Hi hun,i was exactly the same as you before i started dress hunting.I hate the tops of my arms and insisted on having sleeves or a bolero,but i tried on all the styles and the one that suited me best was sleeveless.Try loads of styles on,you may be surprised!! I got mine in Modern Fashions in Dundalk,take a look at their website.They actually have 1 in the window at the minute thats fab,it has a lovely lace bolero with it,and it's not too fussy..happy shopping.

I was the exact same as you!
Wanted a sleek dress with no bells and whistles. Half of the dresses in shops are like my first activity dress with feathers and bows and bits and pieces.

Can really recommend Vintage Bride in Dublin, also The Suite is a new place in Dublin that stocks Nicole Miller dresses which are stunning, really elegant and simple and not too expensive i think. Little White Dress in Castleknock looks gorgeous too. The Suite and Little White dress both opened after i found my dress and i was raging they werent there when i was looking!
David fielden dresses are pretty simple and wow at the same time too i think.

I'm looking to find a Nicole Miller stockist in Ireland and I beleive The Suite in Drury St. is one. For the life of me I can't find this store. There's nothing online - website, phone number, email. Does anyone know if 'The Suite' exists and how to make contact?!
