Postby July2012 » Fri May 04, 2022 4:26 pm

Hi Girls,

Just wondering of any more can recommend anything for dehydrated skin? I am trying to drink 2L of water a day but what else might work?

Is your skin definitely dehydrated, or is it dry and lacking in oil? My skin can suffer from a bit of both but it is easy to confuse the two. I find the Clarins Hydraquench range great for treating dehydration, especially the biphase serum. However, if you have dry skin you may need to take more healthy fats in your diet to add back some oil to the skin. I also think oils in skincare can be lovely, and I often add a drop of Trilogy Rosehip oil to my night time moisturiser to boost my skin.

My beautican said that it was dehydrated. I have started using the trilogy oil over the past month. Maybe when i am back with her she might notice a difference!!!

Thanks

maybe try using a hydrating serum under your regular moisturiser - anything with hyaluronic acid in it should do the trick. dermalogica do one called, i think, moisture boosting serum, though it is a bit expensive. it would last a long time, though, as just a few drops patted on to your face will do. i'm sure a visit to boots would turn up a few cheaper but equally good alternatives!

My beautician showed me how bad my skin is. It was dreadfully dry.

She recommended La Roche Posay moisturiser for Cosmetic Peels!!

It's fantastic and has done my skin proud.

I had a similar problem and found good diet, especially with avocados and fish, aswell as exercise and Trilogy rosehip oil all combined to make my skin really improve. O:o)
