Anyone's child with Enable Irl?
Our son has been referred to Enable Irl by his paed and I was just wondering if anyone else's LO is being seen by them? I'm not sure what to expect. A social worker is calling to our house first and then we get an appointment for an assesment.

Our 3 year old son is currently being assessed with enable Ireland for autism. Try and stay positive. They will ask many many questions and put him through lots of differant tests and trials but its worth it in the end. For you to deal with what may be ahead of you and your son you have to know what his strengths and weaknesses are. Try to keep in your head that he is still your little boy. We have our son in speech and langauge as well at the moment and he has come on leaps and bounds in the last 6 months. Hope all works out well for you and your family..
my son has been attending enable ireland since last May and he has come on leaps and bounds since he started, i dont know what you child will be attending for by my son gets Physical therapy and something to keep in mind is its really important to do the work at home with him as well as at his sessions.
When the social worker calls out to you it will be really informal and she will just give you info on what is going to happen and what you are entitled to etc There will probably be around 4\5 people at the assessment as well as yourselves, they will probably ask you loads of questions and watch your little one to see what his needs are. I find them fantastic and lovely to deal with so best of luck ![]()

Hi, my baby is in Enable too and I can't speak highly enough of them. I have found the staff are really warm, caring and positive. Best of luck. Your son will get the best care there.
