Matching wedding rings?

Do the rings have to be match? myself and my fiance have very different taste in jewellery so I just wanted peoples opinion really as to whether or not you think they should match? I think we'll probably get completely different ones, but I don't think it matters, they still symbolise the same thing, that were married, right?

Not at all... My husband got a thick red gold plain band and I have a thin white gold band with diamonds to match my engagement ring.. Go for whatever ye want.

Course they don't have to match, I hate gold with a passion so my engagement ring & wedding ring are white gold and h2b is getting a thick gold one.

ours dont match, i got a platinum band with diamonds, H2B got palladium band with a celtic design on it. Go with what you both like...you have to wear it for a life time :o0
