Well done Betty Draper and Mrs Woggle, i also had a weight loss for my first weigh in but only half a pound ( at least it was a half pound off and not on)not sure where i went wrong ate loads of fruit and have been watching what i ate but i need to re read those books again.

We have just gotten one egg between us this year and my mum and dad gave us a millionaire ticket instead of an egg this year to try help me along ( poor hubby loosing out there - unless we win the Million :o0 :o0 )

I made the Three colour carbonara last night for dinner out of the 7days, 7 ways book have to say it was delicious even the hubby approved :ooh.

Here's to hopefully a better weight loss this week i must do exercise didn't do a tap last week and must drink more water too

was sitting at my desk, minding my own business when my boss walked in.

He announced "I'm going the chipper - who wants what", this is not the norm, it was one of the lads birthdays and we're hockied today.

There's 7 in our dept. none of them know I'm on a diet. IT was tough but i did it. I sat at a lunch table and was the only one not to have chips. They even got a batch loaf and a 2l of coke.

I had my brown bread, laughing cow extra light and ham. Had my velvet crunch too, but i was well proud.

I didn't even have cake!

Cannot wait for my pizza this evening! Think I deserve it even more now!

Anyways, someone tell me about this cauliflower curry?????????

Down 1lb today. Am still going very slowly but think i am getting back on track.

3lbs to the stone so going to push myself over the next two weeks.

Well done on all the loses. Ye are flying :o)ll

Tried the spicy chicken, spinach and potato curry from the slimming world receipe and it was yum and so easy to make. Only tip would be to par boil the potato first so its cooked throughout.

really dreading tomorrows weight in.

Completely of the wagon at the weekend.

After Thursdays 'treat' pizza at dinner time, I had a massive pizza slice on the way home Thurs night. (more kcal than the previous pizza)
Friday was fairly decent, but Saturday/Sunday absolute write off!

There was dinner out sat night (fish and chips with the batter) A lot of alcohol, a lot a lot! and another pizza slice on the way home. Then there was Sunday also known as Hangover day so I ate everything I saw! It wasn't good. I'm so ashamed.

And what made it worse, was i did no shopping so there was no fruit for breakfast which meant i have bold toast with butter!

Well done girls, you all seem to be doing great! Cut the carbohydrates out after 5pm, eat lots of fish, protein and vegetables and cut out all junk! Aim for one treat day per week and that will help you stay on the wagon. If you need any help, just post up your questions!

Betty - I too had a wreck of a weekend

Good Friday - went to the chipper and had the BIGGEST cod in batter with chips and onion rings
Saturday & Sunday wasn't too bad apart from an easter egg :-8 and garlic potatoes
Monday - Takeaway and about 10 bottles of coors light
Today - I had the muchies - so I had 2 packets of Hunky Doreys, a pack of wine gums and a pack of jelly babies.... I'm screwed!

Joined this evening and feeling a little overwhelmed. seems to be alot to take in. Going to do a shop tomorrow to get in the bits and bobs we need to keep us on track. Anyone have any tips for the first week?

Well done everyone on the losses and chin up for anyone (like me) with a gain! It was a tough weekend here with all the chocolate floating around and was working Friday and Monday which I always find tough anyway!

Streaks well done on taking the first step! It does take a few weeks to get your head around the plan but once you stick to at least 1/3 of every meal superfree you'll be fine! Lots of fruit and veg and eat those before the rest of your meal. Drink lots of water too! I'm not great for drinking the water but find that the weeks I do I definitely lose more! I try to fill a 1l sports bottle first thing in the morning and keep sipping from it throughout the day. Easier than drinking a full glass all the time. You can have a no added sugar squash in it if you're not fond of water on its own. Also before you do your shop try and make a meal plan for the week - breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's easier to stick to it than if you're running in the door at 6 starving and have no idea what you're going to do for dinner! Helps to combat the urge to stick on a frozen pizza/convenience food or takeaways! Try make a few extra portions at dinner and freeze some so that you do have something handy for the odd day. Use your syns as well. Don't deprive yourself of the things you like. Lean how to work them into your plan and you won't be as tempted to binge. If I could just follow my own advice I'd be right! :duh:

+1 to everything always broke said.

And remember, if you fall off the wagon in spectacular fashion like i did at the weekend, don't let it get to you, jump back on!
Its like starting all over again, but this time you know what your at!

Ive only been at it 4 weeks, and I'm still not 100% following the plan most days.

the days when I'm unorganized i have by healthy B for lunch with no fruit or veg, this is something i need to work on!

Tips for Treats!!

I have a bowl in the fridge of bournville. I buy a bar every 5-7 days and cut each sq into 4. each mini sq is 1/2 a syn. that usually eases the craving and doesn't eat into syns too much.

Salt and Vinegar Velvet crunch are only 4 syns and delicious! really hit the spot for crisps!

Remember, for syns, look at the kcal and divide by 20. So 1 finger of twix 144kcal - 7.25sysn!

Thanks for all the tips girls, did a massive shop today for all things healthy. Just had a massive bowl of chopped banana and strawberry with vanilla muller light, skinless drumsticks in the oven and spag Bol for dinner with extra lean mince. Really hoping this works :o)ll

While I'm sure your method works, this is a thread for Slimming World. Posting about other weight loss programmes may be confusing for those who are only starting out on SW.
