Hi girls,
Weigh in tomorrow night, have had a surprisingly good week, planning ahead definitely helped. No chocolate for 5 days...never managed that before! decided to go cold turkey with it this time, i usually have little treats but it just leaves me longing for more so havent touched it...lots of fruit helped. now to keep it up!!

Hey ladies,

I have to give up the little kinder treats I've become so fond of. I had 6 again yesterday. that's 21syns. Going back to the quarter squares of bourneville, at least if i have 6 of them its only 6 syns!

Oh I hear you Betty Draper, the little treats are adding up here too. I'm slipping and didn't have a great weekend so not too confident about this week either now. It's getting hard now, the novelty has worn off, the weight loss has slowed down, I need a good kick up the ***!! O:|

I don't know if the weekend was good or bad. I ate healthy meals and only one glass of wine all weekend and got some exercise in, my OH ordered a dominos and I didn't eat any of it. But the treats, oh dear, I bought a 5 pack of meanies for €1 in supervalu and ate them all in two days :-8 too many little bits of choc here and there. Don't know what way the scales will be this week. Our leader said to really try up the superfree foods if you have had a bad weekend so going to try that for the next few days before WI.

I think what we need is a weekend plan. The structure of being in work without actually being in work.

I remember my second week in SW, i was really good that weekend cos i had so much to do and really had to plan my day and therefore what i was eating and when. My meals on the weekend are fine, but don't have set times, so I end up peckish and diving in to the crisps or chocolate.

I think I will have a plan ready for this weekend. That's on my to-do list for this evening, like there's not enough on it already - actually i might just leave it till Friday!

Hi girls, remember me???!!

I have been useless at SW recently, putting on 4lbs - and I didn't go last week so I have 3 days to make this week a loss, I've had my first apple in 6 weeks today :o(
Only 4 months to the wedding and I have 1 stone to lose - help!! I've just ordered 30 Day Shred off play.com so hopefully that'll help././

If I were you I'd be sitting in on the new member talk again.
Start keeping a food diary again too, basically treat SW like you have never been before.

You are now a new member again. Read your books again too.

You'll get back on track and put the rest of us (well, me) to shame!

well done busybride28. 3 and half pounds is super.

I weighed after first week on sat - up half a pound - disgusted. however everyone says it works, I know it has worked fro friends so i decided to sign up online to see if it helps. I was doing red and green days since sat im doing extra easy, no movement on the scales so far, and I know im sticking to it. the only thing I can think of is too much carbs, pasta etc, and not enough veg.

any tips would be great, I dont know what I'm doing wrong!

Hi Finet, last week we had a meeting on the importance of superfree foods and how a third of your meal should be superfree. Maybe go back and have a look at those and see if it helps. Some things I thought were superfree are not so maybe go back and have a look at those pages in the book.

yes thanks a mill highbeam, I do defo need to increase the veg, its just that when I'm working its hard as all the convenient stuff is carbs really. I will do that though thank you. I'm wondering if you can try and make 1/3 of your daily food superfree even if its not exactly a third in each meal?

Well the way it was explained to us was it does need to part of the meal because otherwise you could end up with a plate of carbs. I don't always manage the third superfree especially at breakfast. For lunch if its not a salad or something superfree I will eat some fruit with it. They did say, say you had a bowl of veg soup before dinner that could count as your third superfree but to watch portion size for dinner. Don't fill the plate with meat and carbs more than you normally would. It is trying to balance your meals so just because you spent all morning eating fruit doesnt mean you can go crazy at dinner.

I have to be organised for work or Ill end up in the shop buying a roll, it is very hard to go to the shop and buy a balanced lunch. Last week I got a small roll with chicken and salad and a pack of ready made fruit salad instead of what could have been crisps. I bring a fruit salad or homemade veg soup a couple of days a week or maybe leftover dinner with a salad, its an easy way of getting the superfree in during the day. Another day it might beans on a baked potato which isnt superfree so I'd eat maybe two pieces of fruit during the day, just have to try , it doesnt always work out exactly.

Hi Girls,

I just finished my 1st week at slimming world, i have 5 stone to lose :-( i lost 7.5 pds which i was delighted with but i know next week i wont be so lucky. I got all my dinner recipes off the website which was really handy and i was using the phone app to syn stuff. I found the easiest way was to make sure i had all the shopping i needed for lunches for work, dinner snacks etc. I am normally the most unprepared person you could meet, but preparation seems to be key.

Well ladies I was 3.5lbs down last night and got my club 10!

I was so delighted until I realised that I hadn't eaten dinner before I went to the WI. Still happy but I know I would have only really lost 1 or 1.5 if I had eaten dinner first.

Will be very good again this week and see if I can get my stone and a half award next week!


I've changed my target, I tried on all my clothes again and I now comfortably fit into everything bar 2 pairs of trouser. I think if i lost what I had been planning on losing all the pretty things would be too big for me!

So have re-adjusted my goal. And only 9lbs to go. That is the maximum 'healthy' weight for my height so as long as I'm in and around that weight I'll be fine!

Well done Betty Draper, luvaduv & busybride28 & to everyone else too. I'm down a lb so got my 2 stone award. Another stone to go and I'd be happy. I can afford to loose more but I'm being realistic too. Need to have a really good week now this week to get my motivation back!
