Thyroid problems

anyone know of anyone or had themselves a thyroid problem. i had half of mine removed in august and doctor said i didn't need to go on tablets. at that time i did have a borderline overactive but now that half of its gone i presume i should be underactive and therefore go on tablets but doc says i'm grand, dont know what to do, and always knackered and sweet like a good thing even though i do nothing to explain this, have an office job so its not like i'm running around all day.

any help or advice would be great.

Why dont you go to another doctor to put your mind at ease and get a second opinion. I have an underactive thyroid and am on tablets for this, although even with the tablets i can still be very tired some days.
Maybe try taking some vitamins and i also find exercising helps even a short walk evey evening gives you a boost.

Another option would be to get advice from a health food shop, I know they supply L Tyrosene, which could help. They can be very good for advice, so it might be worth a go. Just a thought.

Hi, I suffer from an extremely over-active thyroid which has just kicked off again... It was great all along cause the weight fell off (Bridesmaid in April :? ) but had to do something. Back on tablets, my specialist in Cork doesn't reccommend the operation... So as a result I'm on tablets for 18 months minimum, prob the rest of my life... Reckon you should get a second opinion... Good luck xx
