Hi Realta,
Yep Im doing one at the min, about half way thru think this will be the 4th week (out of 8) and have to say its great! Such a good tough work out but also lots of fun which is wat its all about. So far I've lost 7lb and 1inch off tummy (most of my weight is on tummy area) but have also toned up all over. I literally have a pair of trousers that are falling off me now but have lots to go so will be keepin it up til at least the wedding which is in August-whens yours?
Sorry Luppy Im doing my bootcamp in Drogheda dont know any in ur area.

I'm doing bootcamp in Wesley collage, starting next week

:ooh at how much weight you've lost!!!! that's incredible in 4 weeks!

fair play!

i'd love to lose about 10lbs total- although not if i start losing too much of my curves

would love to lose 2 inches from my stomach as thats where i carry weight too

toning is the main aim though!

can't wait to start in a weird way, have heard such good things about it

keep up the good work!

Hiya

Quick question (hope this is in right thread!!)

Is bootcamp suitable for seriously unfit people? (i.e. me ;o( ) I've lost almost a stone in the last 7 weeks at SW, but have another 3+ to lose. I enjoy walking, and I used to love going to classes in the gym etc, but I am nowhere near as fit as I should be! Picture a big red face trying to speak after climbing stairs, and you'll get the idea.

Would love to try this, but afraid I'll make a holy show of myself :-8

it says on the bootcamp ireland website that its for all levels of fitness but that you'd get more out of it if you have a basic level of fitness.

should have it somewhere on the website, i think i read that you should be able to walk for 45 minutes without dying!

Hey Rocksie,

I done bootcamp ireland most of last year before our wedding in December. I was seriously unfit starting. Had never ever ran anywhere before in my life (not even for a bus!)

All of the instructors are really really good at emphasising that it doesnt matter how fast you go once you are working to your maximum effort. Does that make sense, they are very good at telling the difference between unfit people and lazy people. And they do pick on the lazy ones but thats what your paying them for!!

But if you put in the effort and they can see that then they will support you all the way. If you really want to knock your body into shape bootcamp is amazing.

Good luck!

Thanks Chloe

I'll do a bit of research (and some sums- wedding is taking most of our funds :-8 ) and see how I get on!

Right ladies, I'll leave your thread alone for now, until I decide to join you properly :wv

Well Realta how are u gettin on now??
I've my last night of my 8 week course now tomorrow night but I'm def going to sign up for another 8 weeks. I really am seeing great results and cant recommend it enough, as well as looking better u feel so much healthier and not as tired (well I do anyway!!). There were girls startin for first time on Monday n looking at them it amazing to see how much we've come on in the 8 weeks - I honestly never thought I could be this fit. So if ur thinking of it girlies just bite the bullet n go for it u wont have any regrets.

Hey girls,

Hope bootcamp is going well for all of ye, well I finally decided to stop hibernating and joined up today - my first class is tonight. I had joined last year but got injured a few weeks in so had to stop, and then the winter came and I'm allergic to the rain!!!!

Looking forward to the class now, not looking forward to all the aches and pains that I will have tomorrow though - but I know it'll be worth it! Hopefully we will all be able to keep each other motivated - I'm hoping to lose about 6-7 kg and seriously tone up all over :o)ll
