I am trying to loss weight with the help of these exercise;
Running is the best exercises because it helps you burn the calories.
Just in 30 minutes a person can easily burn 300 calories.
Walking, Sprinting and adding hills or an incline can burn 180 calories in 30 minutes.
Bicycling and Swimming of 30 minutes can burn 400 to 500 calories.
Am I going right for the weight loss.

Water, water, water - i am so terrible for drinking water. Put a reminder in your phone if you need to, just keep doing it.

Use a food tracker... i signed up with tesco diets, and now have a very clear idea of what I should and shouldn't eat, and which 'healthy'' foods are loaded with calories so need to be eaten in smaller portions etc (i'm looking at you, hoummous!)

Don't buy multipacks of any treat! I have a tendency to buy a 6 pack of the low-fat crisps 'for the week' and then eat the whole six packs in one day. Yet, i don't miss the crisps if they are not in the house...

Do treat yourself every once in a while - but keep the rest of your day light, and up the exercise the following day ( i like a battered sausage on a friday - so I do lots of exercise on the Saturday)

Water, water, water - I say it again, because it is that important! I have genuinely noticed that when i drink 2 litres a day for the week, I lose 2-3 lb, If i miss my water quota, I lose half that.
Those that do not hear the music think the dancers mad!

*) 2-3 Litres of water per day

*) dont eat anything after 6pm - i know its hard but you will see results (i usually have cereal in work around 5.30pm)

*) Drink warm water with fresh lemon each morning

*) cut back on carbs

For the girls that dont eat after 6, are you in work all day? Do you have dinner at lunch time? I really dont know how you manage it. It would mean Id wouldnt have a hot meal all week, cant afford to go out to eat every lunch day and not overly fond of reheating food in the microwave in work.

Water - sometimes when you are hungry you are actually thirsty. Have a glass of water before tucking into snacks.

Write everything down. Helps stop me snacking if I have it write it down, cant just skip over the fact I ate a load of rubbish and wonder why I didnt lose anything

Be prepared, if you know you will be out for longer than usual, bring some fruit to snack on, will stop you going into a shop and buying junk.

If you really crave something, have it but try to have a smaller portion than normal or maybe try a healthier version of it. (Still love my chinese on a Friday night >:o) )

I second this question! I could not do that.

I usually eat lunch at 1 ish, and then i'm up until midnight - and that includes exercise time. So I like to eat around 7/8, and often have a late snack around 9/10,

Bu then I've always followed the maxim: breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dine like a pauper.

Miss Ted...

Yeah I'm in work from about 8 am (up at 6.30am) until 7pm most evenings... what i do is have cereal around 5.30pm.... and drink loads of water... it is a killer sometimes but you get used to it... its mind over matter from me...

for lunch i have soup / beans on toast / scrambles eggs on toast... and from walnuts and apples during the day... and breakfast too...

Ok thanks for the tips girls, some very interesting things here. I'm 5ft 4 and when I weighed myself this morning I've hit 10stone! :duh: Not very happy about it, I don't feel very energetic and I've developed love handles so I need to get my act in gear and sort it out. I started going to Zumba recently so going to start going twice a week now, I can honestly say I've never sweat so much in one hour and it's also great fun. Hubby bought me a bike recently so I'm going to start back on the bike and hopefully with little changes in my diet I'll shed a few pounds and tone up.

I also wondered this, I'm up about 7.30 and always have porridge for breakfast. Don't get home until 6 so it'd be 7 before dinner is ready.

Started using this but it keeps telling me I'm not eating enough food! Not sure if I'm putting in the portion sizes wrong or what but surely it's off. Says I ate under 1000 calories yesterday and today.

Today for example I had:

Fruit-1 dragonfruit
Small bowl of corn flakes with milk
Spaghetti with tuna for lunch (small bowl)
Apple slices with lunch
Rose apple for snack
Another bowl of Cornflakes after school while cooking
Home made veg soup for dinner

Is this not enough to be eating? Says it will hurt the chances oif weight loss to eat less than 1200 calories, but I'm not sure what else I should be doing.

Advice welcome :)

I'm doing weight watchers, but a lot of what I will say applies to everyone:

Water(has been said before) it fills you up, and keeps you hydrated. I agree that sometimes you think you're hungry when actually your thirsty.

Protein: I eat plenty of protein, I don't go overboard but I do try to get plenty of protein, eg I ahve eggs for breakfast, some cheese for luch with melba toast, and maybe fish or chicken for dinner, all within my propoints.

Don't eat after 6,easy for me cos i finish work at 2 o clock every day!

Instead of bread have wraps, they are more WW points when yo point them but for me cutting out the bread and introducing wraps made all the difference.

I agree. I havn't had a slice of bread in months, and don't miss it because I use melba toast or pitta bread now. I could have easily gone through 8 slices a day before, which I did because I read in an article once that Emma Bunton limited herself to 8 slices a day!!
