For me its not particularly what I eat but how much of it. So portion size is one I'm addressing also the frequency with which I'd nibble on something with a cup of tea etc.. is gone. I have a snack at 10 and 3 now. But its the diminishing treats in the evening I really miss but its getting easier.

How about you well done on the 3 last week mustn't have been as bad as you thought then. Thats brilliant. How are you finding it.

Where is everyone else that said they'd join us gone. Come back less than 4 mths to Christmas.

17 weeks to Christmas if we lost 2lb a week thats 34lbs - OVER 2 STONE :eek

What do you find most challenging Fi?

When you put it like that it almost sounds easy!
When I started my 'diet' my aim was to rock into town on Stephen's night looking hot!
The thing I find most challenging is exercise , but if I'm honest, that's because I'm lazy.
I've developed better shopping and eating habits and my appetite has noticeably decreased, so now I need to develop an exercise regime.

How are you getting on this week?

Yes exercise is my nemisis too but need to take it in hand DS back to scool this week so can head for a long walk with DD after I drop him off. Have loads of DVD's and equipment but its getting the energy to them in the evenings is a killer. Maybe we could check in daily and say what we have or haven't done :-8 sort of like an exercise diary..
My other foil is wine O-O empty calories. Only drinking one bottle over the whole weekends now.. it used to be one on Friday and one on Saturday night so thats improvement.

So sounds like we have similar problems in the exercise dept..

Sounds like a good plan. I'll start tomorrow..
I've equipment and dvds too but they're just dust collectors!
I was weighed today and am down again.
I've lost 15 kg in about 13 weeks.
Just another 15 to go O:|
I'd say I've lost as much as i can with diet alone-I'll need to exercise to see results from now on.

Hi girls... was wondering if I can join in?

I joined WW last night, so on my first day today. Hubby joined with me for support so it's great we can do it together. I'm at the heaviest weight I've ever been... I nearly cried on the scales but as the girl said you're in the right place so let this be the last time I'm ever that weight!

I have a good 4 stone to lose. I've done WW before but not with these new points, not sure I fully get it to be honest. Is anyone else in WW?

Had a quick read through the posts, by the sounds of it you're all doing great! Well done. Hopefully I will be too!

Welcome!
That's great that you're doing it together.
I track what I eat using WW. It def works.
Pre-plan all your meals.
Bulk up your meals with point free fruit, salads and veg.
Don't buy stuff that will tempt you.
You won't feel hungry, you'll get used to the new routine quicker than you think, and you'll quickly notice the difference!
Best of luck.

Thanks Fi! O-O

You pretty much said what the leader said last night! Pre plan it and write it all down.

The only problem I always have when planning diets is trying to work around my commute to work - I leave at 6.15 am and get home at 6.15pm! So I normally just bring cereal, 2 pieces of fruit and up til now I'd buy a sandwich or roll, but now I'm going to bring soup or salad etc.

Have you any recipe ideas or tips that would be basic and easy to bring in my bag to work? What do you normally have for your breakfast? I can't see myself poaching eggs and grilling rasher medallions..

I probably sound like I want an easy way out! I just need convenience really as I don't have the time to be poaching eggs and grilling rashers... how do people with kids etc plan it all out? I don't have kids but my day is mostly commuting and work :(
Also, do you mind me asking how you normally use this new 49 weekly points allowance?

Cut out bread anyways for the first few weeks - that's all forms of bread.
Can u make up a salad plate and bring it to work?
I have a boiled egg with my salad and sliced turkey. I find that i stay fuller for longer after an egg.
I have 2 weetabix for breakfast- with skimmed milk.
Your commute makes things more difficult.
I don't have recipies for any special low point meals, but if you're serious about losing weight you should stick to plain meat, fruit and beg for a while.
Tough love!

oh finickyfi read that last night. but last two stories I've seen like that involve lighterlife meal replacement plans and from what I understand the likliehood of regaining that weight increases on those plans. Pauline Quirke has lost some weight but its so fast you'd wonder how sustainable it is.

Well ladies - how are you doing? I'm doing badly!
I have not exercised one bit.
I have no excuse not to. I'm obviously just lazy.
I was up at my weigh in yesterday.

I hope you've had a better week!

Hiya Fi

I'm lazy too if it makes you feel better. Any excuse not to do it and I'll take it!
At least you went for the weigh in anyway, that's the worst bit if you know you've had a bad week so well done!
My first week went well enough, apart from Friday night cos I had a work thing and we went for dinner and drinks. So I wasn't down as much as I'd hoped for a first week, but I was down 2lbs so I'm delighted especially after friday night. I have another thing this friday night and a wedding next weekend though so it looks like I won't be able to avoid the excercise if I want to lose anything..
