Anyone doing bootcamp?

Hey folks,
Just wondering if anyone else is doing bootcamp to aid their weightloss/fitness and what do ye think about it?
I've done 4 x 4 week sessions so far and am almost half way through my fifth and i absolutely love it! Only did half the classes in the first 2 sessions for various reasons, but haven't missed a class since!
I really notice the difference in my fitness levels compared to when i first started. I am alot more toned and my upper body strength is much better (i still have major girly arms tho, and not in a good way!)
These days, i am even voluntarily going for jogs, which i am really enjoying! Beforehand, even the thoughts of jogging made me out of breath!
I can't wait to be carrying around a lot less of me, i'm sure it will make things alot easier!!
Anyone else have any experiences of bootcamp, or want to know more about what actually goes on in one?
I highly recommend going to one, especially since we've moved indoors for the winter, so there's no excuse!!

Hi twentysomething

Are you doing the bootcamp ireland one??? Where are you based as i would love to start one? Im currently doing one at the moment, its twice a week and it is EXTREME fitness. Absolutely hell for the hour but definitely worth it!!! Have found a new love for fitness recently so would like to start introducing different kind of activities.

My cousin is doing this and she has gotten so fit, even her stubborn baby belly she had since her daughter was born 6 yrs ago is gone!

Hi 2012mrs2be,
I'm doing the fitnessbootcamp ireland one, did it in bushy park during the summer and we're in Rathfarnham for the winter, i don't think it's quite as military focused as the other ones, although it is seriously tough! Our trainer has a serious obsession with burpees!
I was a major exercise junkie when i was younger, but i slowly got out of the habit and gained about 4 stone from my fittest days O:| I used to eat all the crap wanted and not put on any weight and i now realise it wasn't my metabolism, i was exercising 4 or 5 times a week and burning it all off, so now i've got the bug again and am starting to form better habits again.
I'd really recommend the bootcamp sessions cause it has a social aspect as well and i like to pick out a person at the start of each session who is of a similar fitness level to me and aim to do as well or better than them in each session, it helps motivate me!

I love the fact that weight training classes (bootcamps and bodypump for example) helps you stoke up your metabolic rate for up to 24 hours after the class. Thats why dress sizes come down with weight training with high reps. Nice to know. Keep up the good work ladies.
