Dental Bridge, anyone have one done?

Hi Girls,

Was just wondering if anyone has had a dental bridge done? If so, how does it feel, was it worth the money etc? Do prices vary?

TO cut a long story short, I had a root canal done 2 years ago, but the tooth broke before I got to get it crowned ( due to 2 pregnancy/ misc) so I am now left with a gap :weep on the upper left side. The worst thing is it's in my smile line! I hate it. I did get a dental plate, but was so sick on my pregnancy with my DS I couldn't wear it at all. I don't want to wear it now anyway, It was a mistake getting it, I don't want to wear a denture in my 30's. So a bridge is what my dentist recommended but it's something like €1500, which it a bit pricey for me at the moment, with a baby etc.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Hi Luka,
I have a dental bridge,have had it for the last three years.
Never had any problem with it. I'd recommend it,I think it was the worth the money. I dont feel self conscious any more about my teeth :wv

What about an implant? would that be an option for you, friend of mine has just had 3 done. It is expensive but as good as having one of your own teeth, no messing with plates etc.

Hi GIrls,

THanks for the replies! My own dentist said I was a suitable candidate for a bridge, as it would be joined to the teeth side, am implant is more expensive & is usually done if there isn't a tooth next to it to be joined on to.
I agree it would be worth getting a bridge, I know it's expensive but I'm getting very down about it. A few people have asked me what happened & it's depressing that I spent €700 on a root canal & that they tooth then broke before the crown & I lost the whole tooth! ANyway thanks for the replies.
