what to eat for a semi vegetarian??

what to eat for a semi vegetarian??

Postby miss choc » Tue Nov 08, 2021 1:08 pm

Since my wedding I have gained a stone and a few Lbs :weep too much of the good life with Xmas parties coming up I want to be able to squeeze into my nice dresses again which I cant at the moment >:o( . I have started doing Zumba and a bit of walking but my problem is I LOVE food I would pretty much try everything for healthy eating but every time I see Unislim, WW etc recipes they involve a lot of fish which I hate. I am not too gone on a lot of meat either and would only eat chicken and roast beef. Thats a lot of protein out the window I am a devil for carbs you name it bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, cakes, biccies oh and I love cheese I could just live on that all the time without fish and meat.
So basically wollies wondering if there is any non fish/meat eaters out there trying to lose weight what do you eat? I am limited with protein only eggs and cheese I dont mind eggs but couldnt eat them every day and then cheese is fattening unfortunately. I would try some fish but has to be not oily or "fishy smelling fish" wish I loved it would stop me wolfing down the carbs all the time. So hard in this weather not to eat comfort food

Hi miss choc, well i wouldn't eat much meat either but what about the quorn range of fake meat as i call it for some kind of protein? I also like to add some nuts such as almonds to my diet too, whether as a snack or into a healthy homemade prawn/veggie curry! Hope this helps :wv

Maybe try slimming world. It seems you can still eat potatoes, pasta, rice - without measuring them but bread is limited. All fruit and veg is free. Chicken is free to eat too. Ive only just started trying this diet so maybe someone who has done it longer would be more helpful. You can have some cheese as part of your daily allowance. I love a lot of the things you have listed but so far I am doing ok with this diet and havent been hungry. I still have toast for my breakfast. And potatoes, rice or pasta with my dinner.
