Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
Hi There,
I've lost a lot of my fitness through injury and the pounds are piling back on. I love running but not doing very much at the moment - can barely manage 15 mins at a time. I want to get back into that but have some sort of a fitness DVD for home for when the weather is really bad. My sitting room is very small so not a lot of room for too much bouncing about and I'm not trained in Pilates or Yoga or similar. I have an exercise mat, an excerise ball and a set of free weights - if that's what they are called - dumbells I think??? Would appreciate any advice? Starting to be good again from tomorrow and try to get down a few pounds again. Thanks a million.
Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is excellent. She was the trainer on the tv show The Biggest Loser. It's basically 3 different levels. You do 10 days of level 1, 10 days of level 2 and 10 days of level 3. Each level gets progessively harder & the workout only lasts 20 minutes but it doesnt allow you any breaks, it's non stop but it's really effective. I did the 30 days & now I just do level 3 every second night combined with walking.
![]() PS: U can get it on play.com. It's only €6.49 I think Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
Thanks a million for that! I'll have a look tonight!
Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
hi belcra,
clients tell me that they have tried dvds in the past along with wi fit etc, but they end up getting bored and unmotivated very quickly. I see great results in fitness classes with groups of like minded people as yourself. Personally, a trainer watching over you, making sure you are safe with your training, I think is a better investment in your health. Best Regards and good luck. mike Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
Thanks Mike!! I know well I'll prob not stick to a DVD but even if I used it a few times it would get me started. Feeling a bit unfit for classes right now :-)
Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
I also looking for the fitness DVD for the exercise and the fitness purpose, I am beginner in exercise and just start exercise. Do you think This DVD will also support me for the fitness.
Re: Can you recommend a fitness DVD?
Hi,
I use DVD's at home all the time - I don't like being out in the elements, and find walking doesn't do much for tone. I use three different Davina McCall DVD's. I mostly use Davina Fit at the moment. The workouts are broken down into different 30 min segments on most of the DVD's. They use about 4 1 minute intervals to promote fat burning between sets of weight/lunges/squats etc. It's hard work at the start (especially if you are unfit - I was). I've used the DVD's for about 1 year now. I'm getting married in June next year. I joined weight watchers in Jan this year, and got my goal weight of 10 st by the summer. I've gained and lost weight since my 20's, but this is the first time I've been slim and toned! It's so worth the work to try on wedding dresses and feel great! I also found Howard Napper's Total Yoga, Chillout Yoga & Dynamic Yoga excellent. They're not aerobic, but he explains the exercises very well & they absolutely tone you, and they're very destressing. HTH! Good luck ![]() ![]() [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
