Well done eefc you're off to a good start. Think the first few days are the hardest till you get a grip on it and have all the food in the house. I was all set to go walking yesterday when the inlaws dropped in and I never got to go. It was about 10:15pm when they left so I never got to go. Going to jog today to make up for missing yesterday and do todays exercises.

We are on an alcohol and takeaway ban in our house for the next 2 weeks (hoping this will last till the end of Jan but we'll see) so hoping the weekend will go ok for me.

Oh I know - its hard with the whole takeaway ban! Got an invite with FMIL and FSIL for womens Xmas tonight to my fave chinese restaurant (first time in 7 years that I was invited!) and I had to say no :weep

But I felt better for it!

Salmon tonight and steak and colslaw with sweet potato chips Sat night- not too bad at all! (I refuse to put cranberries in the colslaw though- I am just about agreeing to the apple in it!)

Don't worry about the walk shampers - you might be able to make up for it over the weekend ;o)

Day 1 today- I am following Natalie. Nearest to my weight.

Not really looking forward to the veggie lasgane tonight but sure it has to be done. H2B also doing it so we are both super focused.

Loved the fact that there is an app for smart phones this year- it would help if I didnt drop my phone down the loo there about 10 mins ago.... eugh. O:| O:| O:|

Who else is doing it with me?!!

How about preparing a spaghetti bolognese instead? Just an idea and it will have fewer cals.

Hi ladies,

I'm not exactly following the plans or girls to a tee but loving checking out their progress and the recipes. My heart went out to that dote Kayleigh from Cork, the 18 year old? Really hope she does well :)

Anyway I made the veggie lasagne last night it was yum! Now my white sauce had a lot more butter in it than was supposed to (I've no scales at the mo!!) but it was fabulous. Does anyone know if you were to buy the Knorr pack of white sauce and make it up with skimmed milk - would that be better than making it with butter & flour? Maybe higher in salt but lower in fat?? Hmmm might try it next time it was just something I thought of while making it....lovely healthy dins felt very wrong to be lashing in the butter!

I also made the salmon with chillies etc last week - it was FABULOUS! Now I wasn't bothered by the roasted veg but would defo have that salmon again.

I'm defo feeling very heavy at the mo so need to get back into proper food and exercise. I'm a previous gold member of ww so going to go back next week too (even though i'm well over the limits allowed :o( )

Anyway has anyone tried the tuna pasta bake recipe? Looks yum might try it over the weekend?

Quick tip : If you have stairs at home, try doing some press ups with your knees down. This will tone your chest (Pectoralis Major) muscles real fast. Good luck. ;-)

How did every1 get on with this years operation transformation? My friend did it and lost over a stone and a half! So i decided to do it and have been following it for over 3 weeks now and really notice the difference :eek . I'm really liking the plan but have to say i'm stuggling with some of the portion sizes :o( , especially most of the dinners, like if there were more veg, it wouldn't be so bad, what's your opinion?

Hi Missfee,
Portion sizes is always the big challenge on any new eating plan, but I get the impression you are very focused and going to do really well on this. My only advise is to eat as much veg as you like, particularly the green variety. You probably know that the veg gives out vits and mins which are energy releasers. So eat well today for great energy tomorrow. Keep us up to date on how its all going. Regards Mike
