Girls,
I just want to say well done to you all. It ain't easy trying to shift the lbs. Your doing great and its lovely to see some results. Like you all before I got married i wanted to shift a few lbs and get fit/toned. It paid off as I felt a million bucks on my wedding day.
One piece of advise, please please dont run on the roads girls. It is so bad for your knees, joints. I use to do this until my hubby explained the dangers it leads too. get to the gym on threadmill/stepper/aerobics classes are great. I met lots of brides to be before I got wed and I still work out with them. Best of luck girls and well done.
Hats off to you all. :o)ll

Thanks for the advice lovebaby :thnk

Finet I've lost 7lbs in the last 5weeks, have only really started dieting since then. I started by cutting my calorie intake but now I'm just eating smaller portions and exercising. Would like to lose about another 8-10lbs

Ah girls, I have so fallen of the wagon again. Only went once last week.
Finding it hard to pin down baby sitters so I can skip of for an hour or so.

Hopefully will be back to normal this week. As for my weight loss, I've lost a total of 10.5lbs since Christmas. I've been doing Weight watchers & find it great. Just need to get back to the gym now.

Keep up the good work & well done on the running Ginger whinger

Ok ladies, I made it back to the gym yesterday & started week 4 again. Think I might do one more day of week 4 & then will move onto week 5. Have a baby sitter all organised for Wed & Fri so no more excuses.

Also lost another 1.5lb at weight watchers this morning. Delighted with that. Roll on the Valentines celebrations :-)

Well girls I haven't started the C25K yet (still) BUT I have actually started an exercise regime and I've been sticking to it! Tomorrow is a rest day and boy am I looking forward to it! My legs and stomach muscles ache but on the upside I at least know it's working! It's designed for someone with NO fitness levels (i.e. ME!) and it's been easy going so far. Can see it's going to get tougher but in about 3 weeks I start introducing jogs and that's when I'll add the C25K in to it.

I have turned into one of these "cheerleading" f*ckers though - should have heard me this morning; You're halfway there, come on - you can do this, move you fat b!tch, only 2 left, you did it! etc :-8 :o0
-Let's eat Grandpa
-Let's eat, Grandpa

Correct punctuation can save lives...

Hey girls glad to hear you're all still doing well. Did up as far as week 6 day 2. So instead of doing day 3 today I did the operation transformation 5k run in Phoenix park. I didn't run it all and I probably could have run more of it if I had had someone there with me pushing me along. Kinda walked in parts where I know I could have run more. But I still did it in 37mins and I'm delighted with myself. Very tired after it but I'm going to persevere with it and move onto week 7 on Monday. :o)ll

ok ladies, w5 day 2 done today, went well, but I'm really dreading day 3, any tips from anyone who has completed it already, I am going to do this Thurs morning.

Didn't make it to Weight watchers this morning, but had a very bad weekend as was away with the girls, so I'm on damage control this week.

This sounds interesting and their website isn't too heavy going. I'm toying with getting a manual treadmill because I try to do some running back home at the end of evening walks with DH but we're both stuck to the leaba the following morning. I've signed up for the Kildare 10k (I'll walk it all if I have to) and I'm going to sign up for the Flora Mini Marathon as well because I want to beat my time last year. If I can feel less like an overweight Rottie pounding around a track after the greyhound-like athletes, better again.

Well done Ginger because I did the 5 mile run the Phoenix Park in July 09 and I found it tougher going than the Flora 10k (6.2 miles). There was a big pull up about a mile into it that I hadn't bargained for. 37 mins is very good. I wish I could say I did it in under an hour but sadly no.
